[edit] Guangzhou??

I was looking at some China articles and noticed that Guangzhou (GZ) has a population of 9.94 million. Why isn't it on this list? At first I thought maybe it was considered part of Hong Kong or something but this list only has 6.9 million for HK. I suspect this list is grossly inaccurate. A difficult thing to deal with is that administrative divisions that are designated cities according the PRC's hierarchy (no matter municipality, prefecture-level city or county-level city) usually cover rural areas with little or no urban development. — Instantnood 19:04, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

How ambiguous is it whether a city is Chinese? Seriously tho, where do I find a list of historically significant cities? Maybe add a link to this disambiguation article too. --1698 10:38, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
