Talk:List of celebrity guest stars on Sesame Street

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is it just me or is there a grammatical problem with this article title? --Dante Alighieri 02:46 9 Jun 2003 (UTC)

It was also not listed as a "List of..." which is contrary to Wikipedia policy. Fixed now. -- goatasaur

and a parody of The Tonight Show.

This page is hilarious. I don't think that was its purpose, but its making me crack up. I love how the article states " An asterisk (*) indicates those celebrities who are known to have recited or sung the alphabet" - was that intentionally meant to be funny? :D -- Natalinasmpf 09:44, 3 May 2005 (UTC)

What about the ever-annoying Meryl Sheep who was on back in the late-80's?

I deleted the whole astrix/alphabet thing, astrix wasn't even being used-Deathawk 03:31, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kerry/Lieberman

Did they both actually appear on Sesame Street? I don't remember anything of them. -- user:zanimum

[edit] Verifications

Zanimum: If you'd like to go through the article history and identify the celebrities I added to the list, you can boldface all of them. In all cases, i either saw the appearance myself, or I can cite Sesame Street Unpaved as a source. -- Dominus 16:10, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A LONG SHOT, I know!

Does anyone know/remember the Celia Cruz appearance? She sang a song w/Big Bird that repeat the words "zoom zoom zoom" or something that sounded like it. I've had that song stuck in my head since childhood, but have no idea what it was called! PennyGWoods 07:15, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Fictional" Guest Stars

I'm not sure how (or if) this should be added, but I think it should: a section for fictional appearances, ie: "The West Wing"s First Lady Abbey Bartlet appeared in an episode in "The West Wing Universe" as the First Lady promoting health insurance or something in Eppur Si Muove (The West Wing). I'm sure other shows have made up characters that were said to have appeared on sesame street - Add it? - A.J. 02:44, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

No. Elmo and crew appear on an episode of West Wing, not on an episode of Sesame Street. However, Stockard Channing, Allison Janney, and Lily Tomlin are all listed here, as they appeared as themselves in a short clip of one episode. -- Zanimum 16:33, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Is Al MacDoon a real person? Or is he made-up? If Zanimum knows about it, then contact him. -- Schfiftythree628 18:48, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nixon?

Was I just hallucinating, or had Richard Nixon appeared on Sesame Street at some point?

[edit] Richard Pryor verified from youtube clip.

I found a youtube clip with richard pryor in Sesame Street. Does that count as positive verification? Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO3M60RO7rk. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mzennie (talk • contribs) 00:33, 4 April 2007 (UTC).
