Talk:List of band names with date references

I proposed this subject for deletion, as the topic of the list is very vague an inclusive. The only thing these bands have in common is so some reference to time within their name, and as such, many of the bands barely meet the criteria and most are extremely dissimilar. • Hi there. If you wish to list it on AFD feel free, but Wikipedia:Listcruft is /not/ policy and I think deleting via a prod is unfair. I also don't feel inclusivity is an issue, due to lists such as List of musicians which are much more inclusive. -Halo 17:51, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

What I meant by inclusive is inclusive to the point that list has no meaning. a list of musicians has a sense of unity, this list does not Cheesechimp 18:11, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Oh, and as for listcruft not being policy, I merely cited it as it was an easily accessable link. WP:LIST and WP:LISTV both state in subsections that a list should have a clear criteria, as well as WP:LIST stating three clear purposes for lists, none of which this article fulfills. If you can come up with a clear cut definition for what exactly this list is a list OF, and a good reason why there should be a list like this, I'll glady drop the debate, but as it is, I don't see why anyone other than you (the article's creator) should miss a list of bands with at least a vague mention of the concept of time in their name.
