Talk:List of United Parcel Service hubs

[edit] WP:NOR - Collection of Links

First off, I don't want to seem like I am defending this article. It was originally part of the United Parcel Service article. I felt it was an eyesore, and after submitting a suggestion in the talk page, I moved the list to a separate article. I would have deleted it altogether, but it looked like several users put a lot of work into the completion and editing of the list.

That being said, I don't think this qualifies as "just a collection of external links." This is a list of UPS's domestic ground hubs, as well as some international air hubs. This is information of interest to people wishing to study package delivery system design, or maybe members of the business community who want to know where the nearest UPS hub to their location is.

Also, this is not original research. See the Talk:United Parcel Service#Hubs section for the discussion that went into its creation. Adamkik 04:31, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deprod

I removed the prod on this. This content was part of the United Parcel Service page and I, like Adamkik, thought it needed to be removed from that article because it simply took up too much space. Having this on a separate article is not going to hurt anything but it sure will increase the readability of the main article. If someone really wants this deleted, it needs to go through AfD as I am contesting the prod. Shortfuse 14:51, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
