I was looking at the the trees and did not notice the naio tree. Sometimes called the false sandalwood. A few varieties but it ranges from a shublike bush to a large stature tree from coastline to upper forest zones.

Also although these are a list of trees that can be found in Hawaii, many of these are in fact alien species (Monkeypod)that were seeded in the islands eigther purposely or accidentally. Consideration should be made for a list of endemic trees of Hawaii as most of these are not unique to Hawaii. Or perhaps even a list of trees present pre European contact. (The Native hawaiians did bring many trees with them for cultivation that were not endemic to the Hawaiian Archipeligo.
