Talk:List of Playmates of the Year

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Until a couple of months ago there was some text at the bottom of the article about how Angie Chester was actually Playmate of the Year for 1974. It's still in the Answers.com cache of the page. The poster makes reference to Ms Chester being mentioned on the cover of Playboy, but this is not the case, at least for the American edition. [1] It seems that she was actually "Bunny of the Year" rather than Playmate of the Year, i.e. she worked in one of Playboy's clubs rather than being a model for Playboy. There's a picture of her wearing her sash near the top of this page, which is about Bunny costumes (safe for work). There's another shot of her here (also safe for work). As the first link points out, "let me make a distinction: Playmates - the girls who pose as Playboy Magazine centerfolds - currently wear Playboy Bunny costumes for doing authorized Playboy promotions - and they are not allowed to serve drinks! Playboy Club Bunnies - the kind who served drinks & waited tables - became extinct in the USA in 1988 - and as of 2006, there is a Playboy Club at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, and that is where the only "real" Playboy Bunnies are today". -Ashley Pomeroy 00:22, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
