Many links are to the regions, and not to the cheese! Does this list exist on the english wiki?

It does now…Thanks for the tip! It’s at List of Italian cheeses, and probably contains over 400 redlinks for the wikimice to start nibbling away at.
The list here, though, was always intended to be limited to PDO cheeses, and the links to the regions are also intentional: each entry is supposed to have a link to the cheese, followed by a list of the places it is made in. —Ian Spackman 20:19, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
