To quote "A Union Flag defaced with the Star of India" for flag of the Governer general of India but isn't defaced a negative verb and imply it was done without concern but this was intentional, no? VarunRajendran
- Its a standard term in describing flags which have another symbol superimposed on top. Governors of the British colonies always used a Union Flag defaced with the colonies coat of arms or some other symbol. Astrotrain 10:27, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
