[edit] is tamilcanadian.com a reliable source?

It seems tamilcanadian.com is a Tamil Eelam mouthpiece. I do not believe it satisfies WP:RS requirements, and so should not be used in this article. coelacan — 00:12, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Also it is blatantly incorrect. The LTTE is allied to the DMK, an anti-Hindu, Tamil ethnocentrist party in Tamil Nadu. Their cadre and leaders are mostly christian as well.Bakaman 00:18, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Excuse me, but what do you have against Christians? Let me ask you to show some tollerance towards other people's religions. Wiki Raja 00:52, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
By saying 'Their', who do you say have mostly Christian cadres? Is it DMK or LTTE? DMK has more supporters from backward classes (who are Hindu by the way... unless if you think only brahmins are Hindus). I guess same is the case with LTTE too. (Note: I don't subscribe to DMK's anti-brahmin policies such as reservation. reservation should be there; but only for economically backward classes not caste-determined backward classes. I also don't subscribe to LTTE's terror tactics but support Srilankan-Tamils' right to equality/autonomy) Praveen

BTW: LTTE is definitely not a Hindu organization. But, its also true that most of them are Hindus (probably coincidence). Praveen 16:45, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Nothing, merely noting that the ragtag bunch of terrorists is deninitely not Hindu nationalist.Bakaman 01:33, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh the usual conspiracy response of the rightwing fanatics, it funny how these fascists types use the same tactics and arguments as used by the NAZI germany. Instead of jews, its now christians are behind everything. What should be noted is the words that are being thrown around such Terroists, thats becoming the new term to use against anyone you don't agree with or have something against, even if they don't fulfill definitions. The other term in vogue is anti-hindu a made up term for anyone who does not allow these spoiled brats to have their way. The funny thing is the ones throwing that term around are probably the most anti-hindu, besmirching the name of their fellow co-religionists.--Kathanar 15:00, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Hear that? Its the sound of nobody listening to lunatic fringe nonsense emanating from your keyboard.Bakaman 00:17, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Hahaha, I'm sorry I missed this, its amusing how some people try to be funny:)--Kathanar 04:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
You have to be a spoiled brat casteist Hindu nationalist fascist to get it.Bakaman 04:39, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Touchy, touchy, its always good though to admit to ones true nature, confession is good for the soul ;)--Kathanar 18:19, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Mr Vaiko is an ally of the LTTE. Of course it is a reliable source. You yourselves are not Hindus or even Tamils. Furthermore, "Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf says he is against use of the term Islamist terrorists or “Islamo-fascists” as such labelling can then be used for other terrorist outfits as well, like the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka who are Hindus. “Does one call terrorists in Sri Lanka Hindu terrorists? Why is Pakistan’s bomb called an Islamist bomb? Why is India’s bomb not called a Hindu bomb and that of Israel as a Jewish bomb?” Musharraf asked."Rangestudy1 (talk contribs)

The LTTE is a secular outfit, not a Hindu outfit. Such an analogy would be out of place. Btw, I am both Tamil and Hindu.Bakaman 03:32, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
