The page contains authors (including novelists), not poets.

Agreed. This either needs the non-poets stripping out, or merging with the list of German language authors. Secretlondon 18:54, Oct 24, 2003 (UTC)
Yes. Maybe a list of all authors would make more sense, since many poets also write prose etc. wathiik

[edit] Sorting by von

Why are two people with "von" names sorted by their first name? Surely this has to be the worst choice. Standard American sorting would put them under V. Is there any English language system that would put them another letter. I know that the Dutch system and I assume the German one would skip the von and put them the main portion of the name. Can I remind people that medieval poets do not have surnames and are always sorted by first name. I've added a whole bunch of Minnesänger --Pfold 17:51, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
