Talk:List of German-language authors

Why the distinction between the languages? Or as Emil Cioran said: "We dont't live in a county, but in a language". 82.82.117.83 20:17, 12 Nov 2003 (UTC)
Maybe Cioran didn't, but people live in a country. Curero 20:12, 14 Nov 2003 (UTC)
But because people have also lived in several countries, organizing these authors by country resulted in duplications. Elias Cannetti, for example, would have to be classified under Austria, England, and Romania. It seems to me that the individual page is the place to talk about these movements. Thus, I've decided to WP:BB and reorganize the list alphabetically. Organizing lists alphabetically seems the least contentious way. (Note: I've put I and J together for now, since their distinction is a newer invention anyway. If someone wants to separate them, I have no objection.) Universitytruth 21:08, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
