Talk:List of GE locomotives
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What about the turbine powered locomodives produced for the Union Pacific? I belive those were built by GE.
- They were indeed. This seems to have turned into 'list of GE diesel locomotives'. GE was also responsible for many of the US electric locomotives, which might be included here too, and several steam turbines.
- There were several different GE gas turbine locomotives; the original double-ended locomotive, then two groups of 4500 hp turbines (smooth-sided, then verandah) and then the twin-unit 8,500 hp locomotives. I'm probably going to deal with them in one article for now. —Morven 08:39, Jan 19, 2005 (UTC)
I added a link to Gas turbine-electric locomotive, though it isn't clear to me if all the GTEL variants mentioned in it are GE's. n2xjk 03:41, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] White Pass & Yukon
Were the type 3341 locos used by WP&Y built by General Electric? If so they should be included somewhere. Our Phellap 16:17, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
