i am removing Mala aravindan from this list since he is not an ezhava and i doubt weaher Paravoor barathan is an ezhava

I have moved "List of famous ezhavas" to "List of famous Ezhavas" because the names of ethnic groups aer always capitalized: English, French, Bengali, Gujarati, etc. Ground Zero 7 July 2005 18:05 (UTC)

I hope somebody at wiki notices this list. There is absolutely no need for such a caste based list. Wikipedia is not for preaching. If this is left unnoticed, please expect a few thousand more caste based lists;in fact there are a few million castes in India, at different times and places.--Sahodaran 13:52, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

Leela group chairman is Capt. Krishnan Nair. Nair surname is used by Nairs alone not Ezhavas. Why do you think he is Ezhava?

Capt. Krishnan Nair is from Nair community but he a follower of Narayanaguru.

Please take care while updating the pages. Somebody has removed in here so many names without even specifying any reason for the removal. Even vellappaly's name is removed. This is totally unaccceptable. If you think someone is not an ezhava then u should cite reasons or proof for removing/adding to the list. Please use this discussion page. If u doubtfule put a question mark to the right of that name so that someone can verify and give a record of his claim. Then if someone belong to the place from the person he has listed then no need of proof. Because it is common knowledge for him...

Please stick to some certain unlisted precedents while listing the names. At least other peeple who reasd should digest the listing. Thanks.

Added the list of MPs in the Rajyasabha and Loksabha.

many names in the list such as that of Raveenrdan (music director),Mohan sithara are questionabe.they belong to scheduled caste community.

I removed P.K Sreemathi as she is Nair not Ezhava/Thiyya.

"KPAC Lalitha Noted Actress.... she is also lister under Nair list" - I have checke this. Her husband Bharathan was a Nair. But i think she is an Ezhava. I found this infromation in one special supplement of Yoganadam. I am not cent percent sure about this. But someone should verify it.

I have removed Ratheesh because he is already listed. May be you should do a search(control F) before adding new. May be we should sort alphabetically.

Manoj K Jayan(Listed under Nairs list as well. which one is correct???). He is the son of Jayan(of famous JayaVijaya Brothers). I got this information from Keralakaumudi news paper. Of course JayaVijaya are ezhava. Their father (Think Gopala)Sasthrikal was a disciple of great narayanaguru...

Somebody removed Umesh Challiyil. He became famous because of his "Gurunamathil" swearing in. Anyway why was he removed?

(How does this list promote caste based distinctions in a country where muslims use Arab names and most castes attach tales? This list tries to look at the accomplishments of community members in a positive way and try to motivate community members to follow the examples.

Ezhavas quit using all the caste titles such as Channar, Panicker, Thandar etc generations before. As a result an Ezhava cannot identify another Ezhava famous or not which one could argue as a good thing. But what about everybody else, I mean the other castes? Ignoring the externalities could be very costly. We need to think deep and hard about doing the right thing while ensuring we do not lose out dearly.)

Quite impressed with the accomplishments of our narayanaguruites here. But looking at the pace it is growing and the kinda entries we add in there, do you all agree it is time to change the link name itself. I would rather call this an "directory_of_ezhavas" than "list_of_famous_ezhavas".--Simin

Suseela gopalan is an ezhava of course sri A.K. Gopalan is A.K.Gopalan Nambiar. As long as by marriage does not change one's caste we can place her name here.

Ratheesh. Yes he is an ezhava. He is the son of former Ambalapuzha SNDP union president Rajagopal. Thilakan. Really he is an ezhava. If you look at the comments he made against the supestars you won't doubt he is an ezhava. Shammy Thilakan Ofcourse he is. Bharathan . He is Nair in fact a menon. Actually KPAC lalitha i am not sure of her caste. he r father's name is Ananthan nair. P.Jameela is an Ezhava. It was(is) famous trait among the ezhavas to put the muslim names and other non-hindu names to their children. So if you found a person who is hindu but carrying a name of this falvour you can definitly doubt that the person is an ezhava.

Shri G. Prathapa Varma Thampan. yes he is really an ezhava. That is another case of earlier trait followed. I am from that constiturency. so no need to doubt.

Earlier when you ask a person his caste and if quotes "one caste, one religion, one god for humans" then no need to ask more to know his caste.

Do you have any idea about Justice K. Bhaskaran (C.J), Justice L. Manoharan (J),Justice T. K. Chandrasekhara Das (J),Justice T. Ramachandran (J),Justice B. M. Thulasidas (J),Justice T. V. Ramakrishnan (J),Justice G. Rajasekharan (J),Justice C. S. Rajan (J) are the possible people but not sure.

Then i have seen in the list one medical guy has added lot many surgeons and physicians in the list. But there are so many. I think guy can contribute more.

Likewise currently the barren list of well known advocates and journalists. I think someone should contribute more. I feel there is no scarcity of such great names.

About the case of Manoj K.Jayan, He is the son of the Jayan of the famous JayaVijaya. Jayan is definitly an ezhava. And we can add him in that category. But not sure of his mother.

Manoj's mother is a Nair.. So he is Ezhava-Nair. As per Govt, he is an Ezhava as his father is an Ezhava

Then about the Chaliya community is that comes under the Thiyya community of the North Malabar. If then that is the case we can add people in that section also under here...

Please remove the name of Devarajan mash. As far as i know he is from an Asari (Sorry i do not know how they are officialy known - viswakaram ) caste. Please anybody can say something contray to that then please.

His father was <some> Aasan .. Usually Ezhavas used this surname in the past.. But not sure. Generally people believe he is an Ezhava.
