Talk:List of Dan Dare stories

[edit] Expanding scope

I am not sure it is justified. Whilst many of the original stories have been reprinted and are going to be continued to be read for years to come, I suspect that few are interested in the Belardinelli version or the great-great-great grandson.

Also, as titled it will need to include tales from annuals etc.

That's the eventual idea. The original title was too clunky to my ear, and since all the information can be listed, it seemed a point of view not to. I'm certainly interested in the relaunched stuff, having bought that version of the Eagle, and I see no reason to make assumptions on what people are interested in reading. All Wikipedia requires is that information is verifiable, of NPOV and is not original research. Since there are web-sites and books from which this information can be sourced, I can't see why it shouldn't all be included in one list. Note also that sales on the Titan reprints caused Titan to put the books on hold, so it's possible even those adventures won't be read in years to come. The reprint books (both Titan and the earlier Hawk books) are in existence and make it more likely that those tales will continue to be read - whether Titan publish more or not. Let's leave it as you have - but a lot more details are needed about the stories from both 2000 AD and the new Eagle. -- Beardo 14:42, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

I intend to add a list of annual stories. I originally set up the page as just the original Dan because a full list of Dan Dare stories from all the different versions would be gigantic. I should say that I'm using the Hawk books myself. And Introducing... A Leg 19:48, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

By the way, the Hawk books did not reprint the stories from Operation Earthsavers through to The Big City Caper, plus The Singing Scourge, Give Me the Moon and Underwater Attack. Articles for those are likely to be stubs until (and unless) I (or someone else) can get hold of them. I'm sure I found one online once. And Introducing... A Leg 19:56, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
