Alright, now this page really needs more of the baddies added. Anyone ready and willing to help out that in particular? Eric42 02:55, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I've added a list of monsters. Hope it helps. --Feitclub 16:44, Sep 5, 2004 (UTC)

Menace from Dawn of Sorrow has gotten its own entry from none other than I. --Delf 01:51, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Temporary measures

I've added Jonathan and Charlotte from Portrait of Ruin to these lists, but Konami hasn't specified when exactly the game takes place. When they do, feel free to alter their entries to be more specific. (Master Deusoma 22:31, 26 April 2006 (UTC))

  • Portrait of Ruins takes place somewhere around World War II. I'd also like to add how Richter passed Vampire Killer to Jonathan, but for some reason... why did he skip John? N J B

[edit] Graham Jones

I've noticed that all links to Graham Jones in the Castlevania articles are directing to an article for a living person. I thought this might be of some point to bring to the attention of individuals who worked heavily on the character articles and so forth concerning the game series. 75.2.55.74 16:50, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps the links to Graham Jones in the Castlevania articles should be redirected to "List of Castlevania Characters," and an article should be created called "Graham Jones (Disambiguation)," though there are but a few people/characters named Graham Jones in Wikipedia.... [edit] Preorder timeline

Just to say, the timeline given with a preorder of Portrait of Ruin lists Circle of the Moon and Castlevania 64 - whether this indicates them being returned to canon or not, I'm not sure, but thought i'd mention this.

Legends isn't mentioned, though, so I think canon may have been edited again HikariOblivion 00:37, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

From what I've heard, the only game that's not canon is Legends, the new timeline that came with the preorder states this as fact now.

[edit] List of characters in Castlevania: Sorrow series

Just to let you know that the only reason I created the page is that there were separate articles on each of those characters that were in just awful state, so making the page was meant to be an improvment to the situation and not necessarily an outright fix. It doesn't matter to me personally what happens with it in relation to the main Castlevania characters list, so do whatever seems best. Erik Jensen (Appreciate|Donate) 17:49, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

However, I should describe what I would do if I "owned" these articles: I would have all the various subseries in Castlevania have their own pages and put the characters of the rest of the individual games into the main Castlevania list. Playing Portrait of Ruin even as I type this, it seems to be really related to Bloodlines, so I would have a List of characters in Castlevania: Bloodlines and Portrait of Ruin (Awful title, though). Likewise, Dracula X is storywise followed by the infinitely notable Symphony of the Night, so a list of characters from those two games I would have supported as well. I won't mind any decision to do anything else, be assured of that. :) Erik Jensen (Appreciate|Donate) 19:58, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Seperate Pages

Does anyone else think that the Belmonts should have pages of their own? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.222.251.34 (talk) 02:47, 30 December 2006 (UTC).

Well We could merge the characters from DOS into this page and seperate the belmonts into their own article.

The Belmonts already make up a bulk of "List of Castlevania Characters," so how about we change the title of that article to "List of Belmonts (Castlevania)" or something, take out everyone who doesn't belong, and put them into another article? We should have another article concerning only the enemies, divided into recurring and non-recurring and bosses et cetera, which would be more organized than just having a list of Castlevania characters that lacks enemies and/or has too many people.

well that sounds pretty good maybe we can take the non belmont characters put them in the DOS characters and rename that article "list of Castlevania characters" and that monster idea sounds interesting as well

[edit] Richter and Richiter

During the mention of Richter, should the common misspelling of Richter as Richiter be mentioned? I only say because even the game manual refers to him as Richiter. AnujSuper9 05:02, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

I believe that the common misspelling of Richter as Richiter should be mentioned. There is also the Alucard/Alucart issue, though.... Retaliate 16:50, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Old Axe Armor

Should Old Axe Armor (known as Axe Lord Armor in Symphony of the Night) be included in the list of characters. This is the second time the character has been playable (first in SotN, second in PoR), and Konami even acknowledges the character on its own by providing artwork of the character. Also, then it should also be made notable that Old Axe Armor is female. AnujSuper9 05:06, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

It should definitely be mentioned that Old Axe Armor is not male, which has always been a misinterpretation of the artwork. I do not believe that she should be included in the list of characters just yet, though, because it has been suggested that another article on enemies from Castlevania should be created, and that the List of Characters already existing be renamed "List of Belmonts (Castlevania)," with other characters removed and placed elsewhere.
