Talk:List of Arabs
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Most of the Egyptians listed are NOT Arabs. The Pharoahs are not Arabs; Copts are NOT Arabs. They have a different ethnic and cultural heritage.
What the hell is this list? Do we have a similar list of white people? Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 20:00, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm inclined to agree. I've added a tag, next stage is to take to AfD.AndrewRT 12:25, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

- I don't think it's meant ethnically but more politically, as in "people from Arab countries". For example, Maher al-Alami, editor of Al Quds, the largest Palestinian newspaper in Jerusalem. --192.195.66.46 15:59, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Yemenite Jews
Do we list them here in the list of Arabs, I'm not sure if they identify as Arabs. --Inahet 07:10, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] why double?
We already have:
- List of Algerians
- List of Bahrainis
- List of Iraqis
- List of Jordanians
- List of Moroccans
List of Palestinians- List of Saudis
- List of Sudanese
- List of Syrians
- List of Yemenis
--why list them here, too?? This article needs a major clean-up. Regards, Huldra 10:13, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I´m starting the clean-up with the List of Palestinians, inserting a "see List of Palestinians", and deleting people off the list here, as soon as I am sure that they are on the List of Palestinians. Will possibly take the List of Jordanians afterwards...hope somebody else take the other lists! Regards, Huldra 10:33, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pointless list..
Besides being a very exhausting article to update and maintain, this (very broad and general) list is very pointless and a waste of space. It can be substituted with the usage of categories, which, If I may add, is much more efficient. ← ANAS Talk? 12:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
