  • Apart from urban areas and official baths, nude bathing is sometimes tolerated in Germany: unofficial nudist areas exist at most lakes and rivers, and other sites, such as abandoned rock quarries.
  • Many designated FKK areas exist at the seaside, at lakes and in baths, especially in the former East Germany, where nudism remains more widespread than in the west.
  • Families especially like to spend their leisure time in naturist areas; sauna bathing is generally practiced in the nude.
  • Even in cities there are clothing-optional areas, e.g. the Schönfeldwiese in the Englischer Garten in Munich, near the city centre; also, the western part of Feldmochinger See, in the northwestern suburb, the peninsula in Lake Feringasee in the Northeast and the Flaucher at the river Isar south of the city center of Munich.

  • Tallinn, tolerated naturist beach, from ferry port about 3 km to east-north by walk at sea beach, at very northern end of textiler beach.

(Lettonia), Baltic sea region. Overseen by ngo `Latvian Naturist Association`. Free of tickets.

  • Vecāķi (Vecaki) official naturist beach, bigest, situated at 0,4 km northerner from north end of Vecāki village (East coast of sea), on Riga-Saulkrasti railway line the same named stop or bus Nr200&204, at N boarder of Riga, ~15 km off the city centrum.
  • Inčupe (Incupe) naturist beach, oldest FKK, medium sized, situated at the Saulkrasti railway line at Southern bank of the same named small river about 50 km off the Riga. From Pabaži village S boarder, find place where stays old gasoline filling station, then go to by a wood-path about 0,5 km to Riga direction.
  • Lielupe beach, un-official, small, situated at Lielupe river very delta left bank. About 30 km West of Riga by railway begins Jurmala beach-city. Naturists uses only small part of beach where river falls in the Baltic sea, yet this place has some specific gey-activities.
  • Ventspils city, official naturist beach, not big, situated at West coast of sea, 230 km from Riga, at central entrance stays marked map, look for most southern part of beach near autocamping.
  • Liepāja (Liepaja) unofficial naturist beach, small, situated about 3 km southerner from south boarder of Liepaja city (240 km from Riga).

(Lietuva), Baltic sea region. Overseen by local communities. Free of tickets.

  • Palanga, unofficial naturist beach, small, about 30 km S from Latvian boarder at west coast of Baltic sea. From city park place wher stays the Amber Museum go to sea direction. Naturists uses this place only at certain hours of day.
  • Klaipeda official naturist beach, big, find a ferry going to Delfinarium (Sea Museum) situated at long ailend-liked Kurlandian Dune. At aisle, 100 m from ferry stop stays a beach map with marked sectors of lady part, man part and families with kids part. Naturist sections are turned to Klaipeda city whilst clothed toward western side of aisle.
  • Nida official naturist beach, very big, find a Nida vaccation village crowded by Germans at Southern end of Kurlandian dune, about 50 km from Klaipeda delfinarium, just few km before boarder of Russian Kaliningrad anclave. The naturist beach stays at open sea side of aisle, most southern part just afront of second entrance in a town (those at what stays autocamping), path is common for textilers, but at sea them goes right while naturists left. Tenting at dunes is hardly prohibited.

Municipalities with a beach (usually including quiet parts) tend to have a nudist beach; even if the municipality does not like it, it designates a quiet part as such in order to be able to forbid nudity on the rest of the beach.
