Ehret is the original homeworld of the starbred, a collective term for the telepathic Sentinels and Shuhr.

A coalition of 23 inhabited star systems, and the major power in this arm of the Whorl.

Sanctuary and retirement world of the Sentinels.

Though Netaia is isolated toward the outer end of a galactic arm, its material wealth equals a substantial portion of the rest of the inhabited worlds combined. It controls two buffer systems as well.

• Citangelo: planetary capital and home of the Angelo family, built at the junction of the Etlason and Tiggaree rivers

Star that underwent a period of intense activity a generation ago, driving all spacefaring worlds to ground until it subsided. This had major economic, political, and social impacts.

Tallis is a regional capital of the Federacy.

Three Zed is the current homeworld of the Shuhr. The surface is inhospitable, and the populace lives in underground caverns.

• Golden City: primary population center of the planet, those with lesser telepathic potential are relegated to outlying settlements

Minor Federate world, but home to a majority of the telepathic Sentinels who live in the Federacy.

• Arown: small town on the Drakken Ridge, home to the Sentinel College
• Soldane: city not far from the Kyrren Fjord
• Sunton: retirement settlement, destroyed by the Shuhr in Fusion Fire
