  • Candy Browne, played by Laura Handley (2004-2005).
Candy was friends with Nicole Owen and Paula Johnson. Candy incouraged Nichole to send in images of herself to a modeling agency, only to be told that her breasts were to small. Nicole then wanted to get implants and asked Candy to pretend she invited Nicole on Holiday with her and her family. Nicole didn't go through with the opperation and her mum eventualy found out what she had planned to do.
Candy, Paula and another character named Nathan Haywood disappeared when the Hollyoaks writers had to move up the Justin/Ali/Macki bully story after Luti Fagbenle wanted out of his contract to start his own film company.
The producers also felt the show had too many stand alone characters and wanted to get rid of them to add more room for full families.
  • Nathan Haywood, played by Robert Norbury (2005).
Nathan was friends with Justin Burton and Ali Taylor. When Nathan first appeared, Justin and Ali were jealous of him. Justin was jealous because he Nathan got to play football at school (and was better at it than him) whilst he was on probation for his rebel period and Ali because Nathan had better football gear and better clothes than him. Nathan also played for a professional football team and let Ali and Justin come to watch him, the three became friends and he told Justin he could play for his team outside of school hours if he wanted. At first Justin wasn't allowed to go for punishment but his stepfather, Richard, let Justin play when his grades improved (only because Becca was tutoring him and he had a crush on her).
Nathan and two other characters named Paula and Candy Browne disappeared when the Hollyoaks writers had to move up the Justin/Ali/Macki bully story after Luti Fagbenle wanted out of his contract to start his own film company.
  • Paula Johnson, played by Beth MacDonald (2004-2005).

[edit] Hollyoaks Community College 2004 student leavers

[edit] Hollyoaks Community College 2005 student leavers

  • Chris Fenwick - Chris Grierson, 2005
Chris used to be the head of the entertainment committee and editor of the newspaper at HCC., but Lee Hunter went up against him in an election and won. Chris pretended not to care about losing and asked if he could be Lee's vice president. Little did Lee know that Chris was manipulating him into spending more money than what was in the college funds. Lee's friend Bombhead found out what Chris was doing but when he tried to tell Lee, Lee wouldn't believe him. Chris then told Lee about the missing money and blamed Bombhead, which caused Lee and Bombhead to have a massive falling out. Chirs then conspired with Freddy Watson, who set fire to the HCC's media lab for an animal rights demonstration and tried to pin the fire on Lee. But Lee's friend and Freddy's girlfriend Zara Morgan told people what had really happened and the truth finally came out. Lee punched Chris saying, "This is for Bombhead".
It appears that Chris was kicked out of college along with Freddy, Zara and Lee.
  • Stacey Foxx - Jemma Keys, 2004-2005
Stacey came into the show as Kristian Hargreaves' one-night stand who was obsessed with him; she then left for a while.
She came back as a student who did a beauty course with Lee Hunter and then they opened their own place at the Hunters' house and then at the pitstop.
Freddy studied English literature and was an animal rights campaigner. He arrived in 2005 and had a less than secret admirer in Zara Morgan, an avid protester against anything and everything. He has since shown a sinister side and an obsession with revenge against the college for animal rights. He has been using Zara to do this; Freddy was no longer seen as Zara left after his uncovering. Freddy also conspired with Chris Fenwick to depose Lee from his presidency, but this backfired when Zara told the student council about the plot, and Freddy's involvement with the HCC Media Lab Fire in December 2005.
It would appear that along with Zara and Lee (who were kicked out of HCC for involvement in the Media Lab fire and the laundering of college funds during Lee's presidency), that Chris and Freddy were also kicked out.

[edit] Hollyoaks Community College 2006 student leavers

  • Mark Jury, played by Ash Newman (2005-2006).

[edit] Hollyoaks Villains

  • Laura Burns/Kerry Shepard, played by Lesley Johnston (2000-2002).
Laura arrived in Tony’s student house and soon found herself fending off Tony’s advances. Laura struggled to finance her first year of college, reaching such desperate measures that she stole the cloakroom money from The Loft. She soon had a fit of conscience and owned up to what she had done.
Laura then became friends with Mandy Richardson but then she began to develop an unhealthy obsession with Mandy’s life, which reached its peak when she started dating Luke Morgan. After the relationship fizzled out, Laura continued to drive a wedge between Mandy and Luke, and seemed to enjoy the problems Mandy had when Mandy's brother Lewis Richardson committed suicide. After Mandy and her mother Helen became estranged, Laura filled the gap and enjoyed being part of the Cunningham family.
As Laura continued to control Mandy, Laura's brother Brendan arrived in the village and started calling her Kerry but Laura refused to recognise him. Laura wanted to get away from Hollyoaks and decided to go Cape Town and take Mandy with her. However, when Mandy felt suspicious and rejected Laura, Laura reacted by hitting her on the head with a glass bottle.
Laura continued to taunt Mandy as she locked Mandy and herself in Mandy’s flat until Tony arrived with Becca Hayton, Max Cunningham, Adam Morgan, and Brendan to rescue Mandy and get some help for Laura. It turned out that Laura’s real name was Kerry, and Laura was taken from her best friend’s name who had died tragically at the age of 11. Kerry was still recovering from that, and since then, Kerry found Mandy as a replacement to Laura and had more feeling for Mandy than a friend and had tried to keep Mandy to herself.
(Note: Was cast from the first Hollyoaks on the Pull and came into the show around the same time as Ben and Izzy.)
  • Dermot, played by Lauren Beales (1996).
He is a football agent who takes extreme measures to get what he wants. Dion was Jason Cunliffe and Scott Anderson’s agent and had to keep the pair in line, making sure that they stayed out of trouble.
However the pair did get themselves in deep trouble when they faced serious allegations. Scott had raped Beth Morgan, but in order to protect his reputation, he protested his innocence.
But the major worry for Dion was Jason’s wife-to-be, Geri Hudson, who had been treated roughly by Jason and threatened to go to the press unless she received a large payment. Dion was clearly aware that if Jason payed Geri, he knew that would affect his payment as agent and therefore he would have to reach an agreement with Geri.
In order to keep Geri sweet, Dion began to date Geri’s mother Jackie and warned Geri that he would tell her mother what she was really up to. Geri had the last laugh, however, after confessing to her mother and then failing to sign a contact agreement on her wedding day with Jason, which allowed Geri to take Jason for every penny he was worth.
Dion failed to get what he wanted with Jason but managed to get the better of Beth Morgan during her trial against Scott. Despite Dion’s co-worker Alison going against him and defending Beth, Scott was found not guilty, leaving Dion to get his own way.
  • Brian Drake, played by Jonathan Le Billon (2001-2003).

Brian became friends with Lisa Hunter and asked her to sing in his band. They ended up going out. When he found out about Lisa's self-harming, he tried to help, but in helping Lisa he neglected his revision and failed his GCSE'S.
Brian then stalked Lisa with threatening text messages. Lisa at first thought it was Cameron, but when she discovered it was Drake, he left the village, never to be seen again.
  • Mark Gibbs, played by Colin Parry, (2000-2001).
Cruel, nasty and brutal, Mark Gibbs was involved in a bullying campaign on Luke Morgan which escalated into a vicious attack.
It had all started at a football training session when Mark was giving trouble, and Luke inadvertently injured Mark’s leg. It left Mark angered because he could not play football professionally. Mark was recovering in hospital and decided to get even with Luke by calling his brothers to beat him up. Mark and his friends continued to trouble Luke when he was training; however, with help from Darren Osborne, Luke put Mark Gibbs in his place. Still, it made no difference to Mark when he kept on hassling and bullying Luke and soon became friends with Darren.
Mark still continued to hassle Luke. After a football match Luke participated in, Mark and his friends decided to beat Luke up in the changing rooms. What then followed was a vicious attack on Luke when Mark began to chase Luke in the streets of Chester. The pair began a fight when Luke faced up to him, but Mark decided to teach Luke a lesson by raping him over the bonnet of his car.
The following day Mark called around to the Morgan house to see Luke and denied that he raped him, however, Mark was eventually charged pending trial. Luke’s rape case against Mark went to court for four tense days. Mark lied in court claiming that Luke was making it all up; however, Mark was found guilty and sentenced for eight years.

[edit] Hollyoaks police officers

  • WPC Vicky Green - Rosie Fellner, ????
  • D.C. Emma Chambers - Georgina Redhead, 2003-2004
PC Emma Chambers arrived in Hollyoaks as a replacement to Dale Jackson and to help Will Davies with the serial killings in Chester. On her first appearance in the show, Emma was seduced by fireman Ben Davies as the pair met at The Loft. Her one-night stand with Ben was to prove costly as she discovered that she became pregnant and eventually confronted Ben with the truth.
However, Ben was engaged with Izzy and refused to stand by Emma’s unborn child. Emma managed to keep the identity of her child's father a secret until a blast from Emma’s past returned. Will’s ex-wife and Ben’s mother Alison turned up in Hollyoaks and revealed the truth between Emma and the Davies clan.
A long time ago, Emma had an affair with Will, which was the reason Will’s marriage broke down. Soon, Ben discovered the truth about Emma’s past and the link with his father. Ben’s fiancé Izzy also discovered on her wedding day that Ben was the father of Emma’s unborn child.
Despite Emma wanting to have a future with Ben, Ben went ahead and married Izzy. Shortly after, Emma gave birth to a son and named him Arthur Stanley Davies. Ben also had a change of mind and decided that he did want to be part of Arthur’s life.
However, it didn't last. Ben’s marriage with Izzy broke down after Izzy couldn’t cope with Ben having so much to do with Arthur, and this resulted in Ben wanting nothing to do with Arthur. Emma decided it was best to move away from Hollyoaks with her son.
Feisty, ambitious and flirty, DI Dale Jackson arrived in Hollyoaks as an inspector solving the murder investigation of the Toby Mills case.
Dale was very passionate about her job as she put took an immediate approach to the murder investigation by deciding to get every man in Hollyoaks’s DNA sample. Dale arrested teenager Bombhead after she caught him acting suspicious and also arrested Dan Hunter after he slept with the victim the night before she was attacked, but both were proven innocent.
Dale moved in with her work colleague, Will Davies. Dale was an immediate hit with Will’s daughter Abby who treated her like a mother figure; however, she was not a popular choice for Will’s son Ben. Ben disliked Dale and saw her as a threat, while Dale just flirted with him. Dale ended up seducing Ben as the pair slept together.
Dale was aware that Will had feelings for her but she liked to keep her relationship professional with Will. However, it did not stop Dale from flirting with Will to wind Ben up. Yet again, Ben fell for the charms of Dale, but this time the pair were caught by Will. Dale was not bothered, but Abby found out and was not happy with Dale upsetting her father. Dale offered to move out, with Ben and Abby wanting her to leave, but Will insisted that she had stayed.
Soon, Dale got her claws into Will as the pair began to date, but her intentions were to make Ben jealous. Meanwhile, in the murder case there was a turning point when teenager Steph Dean had been attacked but managed to survive. With her being the only hope, Dale questioned Steph, but she did not remember the incident.
Pressure had been taken off a bit on Dale, when Steph gave a vague description of who she thought was the serial killer, and Dale made an arrest. But nothing was over when he was released after he had an alibi, which had resulted in Dale being sacked.
Feeling depressed, Dale turned to old flame Ben as she thought she could rekindle their love, but he rejected going through that path again. Having nothing left in Hollyoaks, and not even a goodbye said to Will or Abby, Dale left the village for good.
