  • John L. Davie had split terms 1895-1897 and 1915-1931
  • Enoch H. Pardee and George C. Pardee were father-son
  • George C. Pardee was governor during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake
  • John C. Houlihan retired Feb. 1966, imprisoned for embezzlement 1967, paroled 1969, pardoned 1973 (not related to public office)
  • Jerry Brown was also governor, elected California State Attorney General in 2006
