NOTE: Two marathons were run in Las Vegas in 2005, one in January and one in December on the new course. Petty and Waltrip used the January 2005 Las Vegas event to promote "Operation Marathon" to benefit the Hole in the Wall Gang camp's Victory Junction camp in Level Cross, NC, and organisers each honoured them by awarding them "celebrity" bib numbers of #45 and #15, respectively, reflecting their Nextel Cup car numbers at the time.
