List of mango cultivars

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Worldwide, hundreds of mango cultivars exist. In mango orchards, multiple cultivars are often grown together to improve cross-pollination. Two of the most important cultivars are the Alphonso, which is particularly common in India, and the Tommy Atkins, which dominates the world export trade because it is easily transported and has a good shelf-life, although it is reputed to not have the same flavour as some other cultivars.
