List of ethnic groups in Taiwan

This is a list of Taiwanese aborigine ethnic groups. The Taiwan government (Republic of China) officially recognizes 13 of these groups. Those that are officially recognized are marked with a "*" in the following list. The People's Republic of China officially classifies all of these groups into a single ethnic group, Gaoshan.
