George Welsh, a former Division I-A coach at Virginia, and Dick Sheridan, a former Division I-AA championship coach (1988, Furman), have been hired as consultants. Sheridan served in a similar role to establish Coastal Carolina University's I-AA program, which has grown since its establishment of its first all-redshirt class in 2001.
