This is a list of countries by immigrant population, based on United Nations' (UN) World Population Policies 2005 publication[1][2], released by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs/Population Division. The total immigrant population was estimated to be 186,579,300. UN member and observer states are ranked.
