List of cities in Denmark by population

This is a list of cities in Denmark by population.

The population is measured by Statistics Denmark. The statistics bureau uses the term by (city, though in this context closer to urban settlement or urban area), which is defined as a continuous built-up area with a maximum distance of 50 metres between residences. Some urban areas in Denmark have witnessed conurbation and grown together.

The urban areas with a population of more than 20,000 inhabitants as of January 1, 2006, according to Statistics Denmark,[1] are:
