List of bus routes in the Bronx

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority operates a number of bus routes in the Bronx, New York, United States. Many of them are the direct descendants of streetcar lines (see list of streetcar lines in the Bronx). All local buses are operated by the New York City Transit Authority, except for the QBx1, a local multi-borough route operated by MTA Bus Company.

7 Metro-North Railroad feeder routes are run by the brand name of Hudson Rail Link,[1] operated by Atlantic Express under a subsidy. Also, there are 3 Bronx Trolley [2] routes run by the Bronx Tourism Council with support of the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation Bronx Office. These routes are funded by Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion.

This table gives details for the routes prefixed with "Bx" - in other words, those considered to run primarily in the Bronx by the MTA. For details on routes with other prefixes, see the following articles:

Note: Routes marked with an asterisk provide 24-hour service.
