List of Welsh Assembly by-elections

Thus far there have been only two by-elections to the National Assembly for Wales.
Where seats changed political party at the by-election, the result is highlighted: red for a Labour gain, green for a Plaid Cymru (PC) gain, blue for a Conservative and Unionist gain, yellow for a Liberal Democrat, and grey for any other gain.
