Texas Tech University is one of only two Universities in Texas that feature both a Law School and a Medical School. Tech's contribution to our nation's space program includes four NASA astronauts, including the first African-American to ever walk in space. From world-renowned heart surgeons to leaders in education, Tech's contribution to Education, Science and Technology has been significant in the relatively short period since it opened in 1925.
