List of Oslo T-bane stations

This is a list of all the stations on the Oslo T-bane. The subway network can be divided into the old lines west of the city centre, and the newer lines east of the city centre, as well as the shared section in the city centre. T-baneringen is a new line, completed on August 21, 2006. It provides an alternate connection between east and west north of downtown.

[edit] Downtown shared section

All stations on this stretch except Majorstuen are underground. This track is shared by all the subway lines. Stations are listed from west to east.

[edit] Western lines

Except for Nydalen, all the stations on the west side of Oslo are overground. Formerly there were two other underground stations. Valkyrie plass was between Nationaltheateret and Majorstuen, its extreme proximity to Majorstuen led to its closure in 1985. Volvat was on the shared stretch of Røabanen and Kolsåsbanen between Majorstuen and Borgen, but that station was closed in 1997. Also on the shared stretch were Heggeli and Sørbyhaugen which were closed in 1995. Other closed stations are Nordberg and Frøen on Sognsvannsbanen, closed in 1992 (note that Frøen on Holmenkollbanen was not closed), and Grini and Huseby skole on Røabanen, which were both closed in 1995.

All stations are listed in the outbound direction (away from downtown).

Stations on this line feature short platforms, only capable of handling 2-car trains. A number of stations are located at level crossings.

Røabanen has a shared stretch with Kolsåsbanen between Majorstuen and Smestad. Eiksmarka, Lijordet and Østerås lie in Bærum.

Part of the new ring line uses Sognsvannsbanen up to the station next to Ullevål Stadium.

After Majorstuen

[edit] Kolsåsbanen (Line 6)

Kolsåsbanen has a shared stretch with Røabanen between Majorstuen and Smestad. All stations after Lysakerelven are located in Bærum. Between July 1, 2003 and November 22, 2004, Kolsåsbanen terminated at Bekkestua. On July 1 most of the line was closed for maintenance and upgrade west of Montebello, and from July 31 a temporary station was set up at Husebybakken, just east of Montebello.

This line is the newest on the system, opened August 21, 2006, though the west side was opened in 2003. Much of the line is shared with Sognsvannsbanen. The new stations are Nydalen and Storo (opened 2003), and Sinsen. The line connects with Carl Berners plass on the east side

then continues to Tøyen

These lines are newer than the western lines, and constructed as subways. Hence there are more tunnels on the east side. Stations located underground are indicated as such. The stations are listed in an outbound order, away from downtown.

[edit] Lambertseterbanen (Line 1 and Line 4)

Lambertseterbanen is the oldest subway line on the east side. It shares track with Furusetbanen and Østensjøbanen to Brynseng. Line 1 only serves Lambertseterbanen during peak traffic hours, otherwise it terminates at Helsfyr.

Furusetbanen shares track with Østensjøbanen until Hellerud, and Lambertseterbanen until Brynseng.

Østensjøbanen shares track with Furusetbanen until Hellerud, and Lambertseterbanen until Brynseng.

This is the first line to branch off from the other lines on the east side.
