The majority of the expressways of Ontario are the 400-Series Highways; there are also some others which do not have that designation. The full list appears below.

[edit] Normal freeways (controlled access)
- Conestoga Parkway is a freeway between Baden, Ontario and St. Jacobs, Ontario. Carries the designations Highway 7, Highway 8 and Highway 85. Highway 85's southern terminus is at the part where Highway 7 turns off of the freeway portion.
- Don Valley Parkway - Toronto
- Dougall Avenue - Windsor (from Howard Ave. to 401 only)
- Gardiner Expressway - Toronto
- Allen Road - Toronto
- Highway 7 is a freeway in 3 segments:
- concurrent with Highway 115 bypassing Peterborough
- concurrent with Highway 410 for approx. 2 kilometers.
- Between Waterloo and Baden
- Highway 8 is a freeway running concurrent with highway 7 on the Conestoga Parkway, and then continues the freeway portion on a segment between the Conestoga Parkway and Highway 401.
- Highway 11 (see below)
- Highway 17
- Greater Sudbury from Municipal Road 55 intersection in Whitefish to MR 55 interchange in Lively, transitions to a two-lane freeway between the Lively interchange and the MR 55 intersection west of Coniston. The two-lane segment briefly transitions back to a divided freeway at the Highway 69 interchange, to ease future freeway conversion on the segment; the Ontario government has announced that the segment will be upgraded to full freeway in the early 2010s.
- four-lane expressway with at-grade intersections from Desbarats to Echo Bay; new expressway from Sault Ste. Marie (Black Road/Second Line) to Echo Bay currently under construction with completion scheduled for 2008.
- All of the above segments may be incorporated into future expansion of Highway 417, although as of 2006 no formal project planning has taken place.
- Highway 115 (see below)
- E.C. Row Expressway - Windsor, also turns into a two-lane freeway
- Macdonald-Cartier Bridge - Ottawa
- Ontario Provincial Highway 27 directly north of Highway 401 in Toronto, Ontario. It has four lanes of undivided traffic, and is fully controlled-access with interchanges and service roads to provide access to property in the area.
- Highway 85 (see above)
