Contents

[edit] World Geography

In the One Piece world, there is only one continent, called the Red Line. The Red Line circles around the globe from north to south, acting as the world's equivalent of the Prime Meridian. Acting as the equator is The Grand Line, a large ocean current that stretches from east to west. These two lines divide the oceans into four sections, known as "blues": North Blue, West Blue, East Blue, and South Blue. The vast majority of people live on islands found in the blues, as opposed to the mountainous Red Line.

Along with the ocean on the ground, called the Blue Sea, there is an ocean in the clouds called the White Sea and another ocean of the upper clouds called the White White Sea.

[edit] Astronomy/Cosmology

The astronomy of the One Piece universe differs significantly with the one of ours. The moon, or Fairy Vearth as it is known in Skypiea, does not only have an oxygen-filled atmosphere, but is impopulated by militant moles. It is also possible to travel from the Earth to the Moon with certain flying ships, such as Enel's Maxim. Very recently, in chapter 440, the existence of Space Pirates in One Piece has been confirmed too. Judging from their anatomy, they could be either aliens or robots.

Also, in chapter 392, a model of a planet in the like of an Earth is introduced. Interestingly, this planet has five moons in its orbit. Since of being in the belongings of the archeologists of Ohara it could possibly resemble a model of an ancient theory of the movements of the planets, such as the theory of the geocentric model is regarded in our universe. As of there is only one moon of the Earth in the One Piece-universe, it could also be the model of another planet in the One Piece solar system, which has never fully been conformed either to resemble our solar system.

Except for the moon trip by the self-proclaimed god Enel, further space exploration has never been mentioned or theorised in One Piece.

[edit] East Blue Saga

East Blue is the setting of the first saga of One Piece, the East Blue Saga. The majority of the Straw Hat Pirates are born here. East Blue is considered the weakest of the seas and the average pirate bounty is only 3,000,000 berries.

[edit] Fuusha Town

Fuusha Town is a small and quiet village, and the Red Haired Pirate Crew spent a year relaxing here. This was where Monkey D. Luffy was born and where he starts his journey to become King of the Pirates. This is the location of the first part of the Captain Morgan arc.

[edit] Shell Town

The location of a Navy base headed by Axe-Hand Morgan, Shell Town was being ruined by Morgan's actions until Luffy intervened. This is the location of the last part of the Captain Morgan arc.

[edit] Shimoshiki Village

This is the location of Zoro's past, which appears during the Captain Morgan arc in the manga and after the Captain Kuro arc in the anime.

Dojo: This dojo is owned by Kuina's father, and is where both she and Zoro trained their sword skills.

[edit] Orange Town

Wrecked by the occupation of Buggy's Band of Pirates, most of the villagers in Orange Town had fled to another island. However, they returned once Luffy defeated Buggy. This is the location of the Buggy the Clown arc.

[edit] Ganzack's Island

(U)(AO) This island was taken over by the pirate Ganzack, until it was freed by the Straw Hat Pirates. The location of the One Piece OVA.

[edit] The Island of Rare Animals

Called "Gold Island" in the English dub. This island is covered entirely by forest and has many strange animals on it, most of which are mixtures of two or more normal animals. There was supposedly a great treasure hidden on a rock tower in the middle of the island, but by the time the Straw Hat Pirates arrived, it was already taken.

[edit] Syrup Village

This village is the birthplace of Usopp, and is a mostly peaceful place. There two slopes on either side of the island that are the only ways to enter the village, due to the fact there are high cliffs bordering the rest. This is the location of the Captain Kuro arc.

[edit] Woonan's Island

(U)(AO) This island is supposedly the location of a gold treasure left by the pirate Woonan, but as the Straw Hat Pirates find, all he left was his skeleton and a note stating that his greatest treasure was the adventures and friendships he had. A whale statue on the island points to where the "treasure" is, the top of a mountain in the center of the island. This is the location of One Piece: The Movie.

[edit] Baratie

The Baratie is a high quality restaurant that floats upon the sea founded by Zeff, and this was where Sanji worked until he joined the Straw Hat Pirates. The Baratie is in the shape of a fish, and has many hidden features--for example, the head can separate from the rest of the ship and be used to fire cannonballs; and the "fins" can be raised to create a platform around the restaurant, so all fighting during a pirate attack will take place there and not in the actual restaurant. This was the location of the Baratie arc.

[edit] Conomi Island

Conomi Island is the island where Nami grew up. It was simple and peaceful until the Arlong Pirates took over, setting many strict and harsh rules. For example, in order to live, adults had to pay 100 thousand berries and children 50 thousand each month. From there, Arlong and his crew built up their forces in order to take over all of East Blue, bribing corrupt Navy officials like Nezumi so that no attention was paid to them. However, the island was freed when Monkey D. Luffy defeated Arlong and toppled Arlong Park. This is the location of the Arlong arc.

Arlong Park: The Fish-Men Pirates' base of operations. This building, boasting several stories and the pirate flag at the top, is conspicuously placed at the coast to show that they have no fear of the law. Two important rooms are the weapon room and the map room, where Nami was forced to make maps for the pirates.

Cocoyashi Village: Called "Coco Village" in the English Dub. The village closest to Arlong Park, this is where the majority of important characters from the arc live, including Nami. When the Straw Hat Pirates arrived, it was dangerously close to being destroyed like Gosa Village. When Arlong was defeated, this village was the location of the following celebration.

Gosa Village: For defying Arlong's rule, all the buildings in the village were literally flipped over by Momoo, a giant sea cow owned by the Fish-Men pirates.

[edit] Loguetown

Loguetown, spelled "Roguetown" in the English manga and anime, is the place where Gold Roger was born and where he was executed--the pro"logue" and epi"logue" of his adventures. The last city before the entrance to the Grand Line, pirates used to often stop here to stock up on supplies until Captain Smoker was assigned here. Since then, not a single pirate that ever stopped here has ever escaped, at least until Luffy arrived. A lighthouse points to the entrance of the Grand Line, Reverse Mountain. This is the location of the Loguetown arc.

[edit] Ocean's Naval

(AO) Ocean's Naval is a huge pit that water flows into, yet the bottom is dry. There is a city here that was ravaged by monsters, until the Straw Hat Pirates arrived, that protect the "Secret of Ocean's Naval", which can grant a single wish. Several years ago, pirates led by Captain Joke attacked the town, but they were all killed. This is the location of "Adventure in the Ocean's Naval", the first one-hour special of One Piece.

Mountain of God: This mountain is where the treasure of Ocean's Naval is kept. It is inhabited by three giant monsters--an octopus, a crab, and a sea urchin. Inside the mountain is a large maze.

[edit] Warship Island

(AO) Also called "Gunkan Island" and "Battleship Island", which mean the same thing. The island, which is in the shape of a battleship, is where the Sennenryu, a thought-to-be extinct race of dragons that live for 1000 years, come to die and be reborn. This is one of the locations of the Warship Island arc.

Dragon's Nest: Every 1000 years, a large area of ground, called the Dragon's Nest, rises out of the ocean. This is where the Sennenryu gather.

[edit] Lost Island

(AO) This island is protected by a mirror-like mirage around it, caused by hot and cold water colliding, and is in the eye of a typhoon. The inhabitants of Warship Island used to live here, and as a result there are many ancient ruins. The Sennenryu, a thought-to-be extinct race of dragons that live for 1000 years, were suspected at one point to live here, but are now scattered across the world. This is one of the locations of the Warship Island arc.

[edit] Clockwork Island

(AO) Though the island itself is small, there is a humongous tower in the center that supports a fairly large city at the top. The most important part of the island is the "key" that supports the city's weight. When it was destroyed, the city collapsed and fell into the ocean, though thankfully all of the citizens wore parachutes, and declared that they would build a new city closer to the ground. The city was built so high in the sky in order to protect them from enemy attacks. This is the location of Clockwork Island Adventure, the second One Piece movie.

Clockwork Town: This is the place where all of the island's inhabitants live. The city is technologically advanced, for the One Piece world, and specializes in making small gadgets like music boxes.

Tower: The tower holds up Clockwork Town. Normally, there is an elevator that can bring people up, but during times of invasion, it can be deactivated, forcing one to use the stairs circling around it. However, on the stairs are several traps, such as boulders and blasts of water.

Trump Castle: Trump Castle is where the Trump Siblings and their forces live during the events of the movie. The castle is filled with numerous traps, such as a falling ceiling, and the castle is also the location of the "key". At the top is a pool used to hold captured ships, and on the castle is the Diamond Clock, the world's most valuable clock.

[edit] Mirrorball Island

This is the place where Jango and Fullbody meet. It is also the main HQ where Doskoi Panda products are manufactured. In addition, it is also the setting of the first One Piece featurette, Jango's Dance Carnival.

[edit] Baroque Works Saga

[edit] Calm Belt

North and south of the Grand Line are two "Calm Belts", acting as the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. In these areas, there is no wind nor ocean currents, making travel nearly impossible. Not only that, but the Calm Belt is a Sea King nesting ground, and acts as the home for some of the largest sea monsters in the world. Despite all this, however, the Navy seems to have the technology to cross these areas. This is one of the locations of the Laboon arc in the manga and the Warship Island arc in the anime.

[edit] Twin Capes Lighthouse

After entering through Reverse Mountain, there is a lighthouse where one can find information about the dangers of the Grand Line. This is the location of the Laboon arc.

[edit] Reverse Mountain

Winter Island

Reverse Mountain is a mountain at one of the points where the four Blues meet and is one of the two known entrances to the Grand Line. This place is unique in that rivers from the Blues flow up the mountain, meet at the top, and then flow down into the Grand Line. This is due to the fact that the mountain, being a "Winter Island" using Grand Line terminology, is much colder than the surrounding sea in the Blues but not in the Grand Line. Many pirates entering the Grand Line die before they can even go up the mountain, because the hostile water currents and storms force them to crash into the mountain walls. On the rivers' borders are several gates built by an unknown hand. This is one of the locations of the Laboon arc.

[edit] Cactus Island

Cactus Island is an island with several cactus-shaped mountains, with the "spikes" being tombstones. This is one of the first islands reached in the Grand Line. This is the location of the Whiskey Peak arc.

Whiskey Peak: Called Misty Peak in the English dub. This city is inhabited entirely by bounty hunters working for Baroque Works, who capture any bounty heads that land here. Apparently, everyone in the town is now dead.

[edit] Little Garden

Log Change: One Year

Despite the name, Little Garden is actually a huge jungle inhabited by prehistoric creatures such as dinosaurs. On the island are two humongous skeletons belonging to Sea Kings killed by Dorry and Broggy. There are multiple volcanos on the island. This is the location of the Little Garden arc.

[edit] Drum Island

Winter Island

This is a snow-covered island with a chain of drum-shaped mountains, and is where Tony Tony Chopper was born. Years before the present timeline, the Drum Kingdom had a kind ruler. However, his son Wapol, who inherited the throne, proved to be spoiled and selfish. Among other acts, he forced all of the doctors except for his personal ones to leave, forcing the people to beg him when they needed medical attention. When the Blackbeard Pirates attacked, he and his cabinet fled, only to be defeated by the Straw Hat Pirates when he returned. Currently, the island is ruled by the Sakura Kingdom, headed by Dalton. This is the location of the Drum Island arc.

Bighorn: Bighorn is a town near the coast. When Wapol returned, he ate many of the buildings, and it was later engulfed in an avalanche.

Drum Rockies: This is a chain of drum-shaped mountains on the island, with the middle one being the largest.

Drum Castle: Formerly inhabited by the royal family and their servants, the castle is now owned by Dr. Kureha. Since Wapol left, the main entrance been left open, causing many rooms to freeze over. The armory contains many strong weapons, and in one of the towers is a powerful cannon.

Trivia: Currently, Sakura Kingdom's flag is a Jolly Roger designed by Hiruluk (a Jolly Roger with numerous Sakura pedals surrounding it), as seen in one of the mini-arcs. As Jolly Roger is absolutely forbidden under the World Government, it may means Drum Island is no longer part of the World government.

[edit] Johnny and Yosaku's Island

(U)(AO) This is the island where Johnny and Yosaku met Roronoa Zoro. The island was under frequent attacks from pirates until Zoro stepped in. This is the location of one of the Post-Alabasta Arc episodes.

[edit] North Blue

Not much has been said about this part of the world, but the Bellamy Pirates and Sanji come from here. The story of Liar Norland is a popular fairy tale there.

[edit] Lyneel

This was the home country of Montblanc Norland hundreds of years ago, though it is unknown if it still exists. Lyneel was one of the countries that explored the Grand Line long ago, though it appears to have been mostly out of greed on the king's part that spurred this. This is one of the locations of Norland's story, which is told during the Skypiea arc.

[edit] West Blue

Not much has been said about this part of the world, but it seems to be the home of some powerful warriors, including Daz Bones aka Mr. 1, Red-Haired Shanks and Laffite. The species of the Great Wales of which Laboon originates lives mainly in West Blue.

[edit] Ohara

Ohara was where Nico Robin was born and was where a group of archaeologists studied the Poneglyph located there. Due to the perceived threat of the Poneglyph, the World Government destroyed the island using the Buster Call. This is the location of Robin's past, which is shown during the Enies Lobby arc.

Tree of Knowledge: Inside this humongous tree was a large library of historical books and documents, where archaeologists studied the past. The Ohara Poneglyph is located here. Before the tree was demolished by the Buster Call, the archaeologists threw as many books into the ocean as they could, so future generations would be able to read them.

[edit] South Blue

Not much has been said about this part of the world. Around two hundred years ago in this area, it was a custom to cover teeth with tar to preserve them. Present day South Blue also seems to be a major producer of high quality arms, as of having invented the revolver which Mr. 5 uses, the Flintlock .44 caliber 6 shot revolver.

[edit] Bliss Kingdom

Around 200 years ago, a ship called the St. Bliss left the kingdom and went to Skypiea. It is unknown if the kingdom still exists. This location is mentioned during the Jaya arc.

[edit] Karate Island

Though all that was said about the island is its name, it can be presumed that the island is filled with fighters. This location is mentioned during the Water 7 arc.

[edit] Saint Reia

A country that Dragon's army has just overthrown. Mentioned in chapter 440.

[edit] The Grand Line

The Grand Line is the ocean current that runs east to west across the middle of the world and perpendicular to the Red Line. In effect, it's the equator in the world of One Piece. The weather is very unusual here, as it is extremely volatile, especially in the first stretch. The weather stabalizes around islands, which classifies the islands into four types: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Due to the magnetic fields of each island, normal compasses do not work, forcing a navigator to use a "Log Pose" in order to travel. The Log Pose points to the next island on a set path after adapting to the magnetic field of the current island, which can take from days to years. The Grand Line is considered the strongest sea in the world and the World Government is focusing most of their attention on controlling this area. It is said that the great treasure One Piece is at the end of the Grand Line, on the other side of Reverse Mountain. This is the primary location of the Baroque Works Saga and the World Government Saga, the second and fourth sagas of One Piece.

[edit] Alabasta

Summer Island

Alabasta is a desert nation with a rich history. Under King Nefertari Cobra, there was an unprecedented time of peace and prosperity, until Baroque Works framed the king by making it seem like he was using Dance Powder to make it rain more often in the capital city, Alubarna, and as a result the rest of the country suffered through a drought. In response, a rebellion against the king started. However, Princess Nefertari Vivi and the Straw Hat Pirates stopped Baroque Works and revealed the truth before the country self-destructed and Sir Crocodile took over. Alabasta houses a Poneglyph that shows the location of the ancient weapon Pluton, which was why Crocodile was after the country. This is the location of the Alabasta arc.

Alubarna: Alubarna is the capital city of Alabasta. The city is built on a plateau near an oasis, and there are four long flights of stairs that act as the only entrances. Directly outside the town are a group of ruins.

Alubarna Palace: This is where the royal family and their servants live. There is a secret entrance in addition to the normal one.
Tomb of the Kings: This is the location of the Alabasta Poneglyph, and can only be reached by a secret entrance revealed by turning a statue at the normal tomb. Inside, there is a hidden panel that can be activated to make the room collapse.

Erumaru: Once called the Green City, this town was ravaged by sandstorms that filled up the canals bringing water there. The inhabitants have long since fled and the buildings are falling apart. The sandstorms were later revealed to have been caused by Crocodile.

Katorea: Katorea is the rebel army's headquarters as of the beginning of the Alabasta arc, as they fled here after Yuba fell into ruins. Perfume is produced here.

Nanohana: Nanohana was a large port where people could stock up on supplies before journeying into the desert. However, it was destroyed by the actions of Baroque Works.

Rainbase: Rainbase is one of the few cities that continued thriving even during the drought, mostly due to the gambling businesses.

Rain Dinners: Rain Dinners was a casino, restaurant, and resort owned by Sir Crocodile. The building is the largest in the city and is in the shape of a pyramid, with a golden crocodile stature at the top. The building itself fell out of use once Crocodile was captured.

Sandora Desert: This is a large desert encompassing most of the island. Travellers will have to cross it in order to reach other cities, but it is filled with several dangerous animals.

Spiders Cafe: This is a cafe near the coast of the island, but still in the desert. The cafe is owned by Paula, aka Miss Doublefinger, and acts as a meeting ground for Baroque Works agents.

Sandora River: This is the largest river in the island and is over a mile wide.

Yuba: Yuba, formerly known as the hub of West Alabasta, was the Rebel Army's base. However, repeated and severe sandstorms, later revealed to have been caused by Sir Crocodile, forced them to leave.

[edit] Asuka Island

(AO) Asuka Island is where the legendary Seven Stars Sword, a cursed blade, was sealed. Every 100 years, there is a red full moon that increases the sword's power. Several hundred years ago, three princes fought over the love of a priestess which led to a great war, which is what cursed the sword in the first place. The sword forced the peoples' rage to increase until the priestess gave her life to seal the sword. The island is also the location of a Navy dojo, and there are three towers connected by a cave that are used to seal the sword's dark power. The sword was destroyed by the Straw Hat Pirates. This is the location of Curse of the Sacred Sword, the fifth One Piece movie.

[edit] Clam Island

(U)(AO) This island is said to be the location of a great treasure. In actuality, however, the island is a giant clam covered in dirt, and the treasure is a huge pearl inside it. This is the location of "Open Upon the Great Sea! A Father's Huge, HUGE Dream!", the second one-hour special of One Piece.

[edit] Crown Island

(AO) Crown Island is inhabited by several strange animals. Whenever it's time to decide a new king of the animals, a series of fountains around the island erupt, forming the shape of a crown. Currently, the king of the animals is Mobambi. This is the location of Chopper's Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals, the third One Piece movie.

[edit] Elbaf

This is an island inhabited by giants. Interestingly, it is "fable" spelled backwards, leading some fans to believe that there are more than just giants on Elbaf. However, in the VIZ translation of the manga, it is spelled "Elbaph."

[edit] Enies Lobby

Enies Lobby is one of the World Government's largest bases. For details see Enies Lobby .

Several witness reports claims that the area is haunted.

Thriller Bark believed to be a ghost island from West Blue. The island doesn't register on a Log Pose. Recently it has been revealed that the island is really the largest ship in the world under the command of one of the shichibukai, Gecko Moria

[edit] Impel Down

Impel Down is an underwater prison that is supposedly the largest in the world, and is said to be inescapable. This place can be reached through the Gates of Justice.

[edit] Jaya

Spring Island, Log Change: Four Days

Jaya is a forest-covered island that was once much larger than it is now, due to over half of it being launched into the White-White Sea by Knock-Up Stream. The island was ruled by the Shandians four hundred years ago, who guarded the Poneglyph located in their city of gold, but they too were launched into the sky. In the present day, however, the island is mostly uninhabited other than a few towns. This is the location of the Jaya arc. For more information, see Upper Yard.

Trivia: The name of the island may be a reference to the real-life Indonesian island of Java. The word Jaya in Indonesian language mean "Glory" in English

Mock Town: This is a port inhabited mostly by pirates, despite it looking like a resort. Pirates who dwell here tend judge their level of skill and power based on their assigned bounties, meaning those carrying bounties above average (10-20 Million Berries) are often respected more by the citezens. This likely changed, however, shortly after the Jaya Arc, due to an incident mainly involving the Straw Hats whose only member at that time with a bounty was Luffy with a bounty of 30 million berries. Because of this the crew was first looked down upon and mocked by the locals, completely unaware that a Shichibukai (Sir Crocodile) was defeated at the hands of the Straw Hat captain, Monkey D. Luffy very recently, but was denied information by the World Government as part of the Alabasta cover-up to hide the fact that this very crew was responsible for bringing down Sir Crocodile's organization. They were also unaware that the crew's first mate is none other than Roronoa Zoro, a fearsome bounty hunter from East Blue. Nevertheless, the government still considered the Straw Hats as a serious threat. Thus, forcing them to assign new bounties: Luffy's bounty was increased to 100 million, and gave Zoro a 60 million bounty for defeating Daz Boness (Mr.1) as well as slaying over 100 Baroque Works agents during the Whiskey Peak Arc. By the time the new bounties arrived, it was already too late; just about everyone mocked that very crew the previous day. This freaks everyone out. It is only until then that the leader of the Bellamy Pirates, Bellamy, who also personally led the harassment on the Straw Hats the other day, concluded that the bounties must be fakes forged by the crew to get him to pay back for what he did earlier. Unfortunately, he was later proved wrong by Luffy himself after accepting the boy's challenge and ended up smashing to the ground face-first. Of course, his crew, quickly realizing that the bounties are indeed genuine, panicked and ran. Its highly probable that since that day, the people of Mock Town became more decisive and less aggressive, and tended not to rely to much on the information laid out on bounties anymore, fearing what happened to Bellamy might also occur to in the future

[edit] Longring Longland

This is a chain of ten islands in a ring shape, with a path between the islands that surfaces once every three years. The animals that live here are unique in that they are all longer than normal in some way, such as tall horse with a long neck. This is the location of the Davy Back Fight arc.

[edit] Mecha Island

(AO) Mecha Island is an island of advanced (for the One Piece world) machines, though most of the people live in normal towns. It is ruled by Ratchet and the island is actually a giant sleeping turtle that only wakes up every 1000 years to lay eggs--for this reason, no Log Pose will point towards it, making it impossible to find without a "Kame Pose", which uses a tiny turtle as a compass. The island used to be called Turle Island for this reason. This is the location of The Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle, the seventh One Piece movie.

[edit] Memory Island

(U)(AO) This is an island that had its memories drained by a mystical seahorse until it was defeated by the Straw Hat Pirates. This is the location of the Ocean's Dream Arc.

Miss All-Sunday, gave Luffy an eternal pose to this island to help the Straw Hats reach Alabasta, but Luffy destroyed the pose, refusing to let her choose their route. As confirmed during the Little Garden arc, this island is actually feces left by a giant goldfish. "Nanimonai" means "Nothing" in Japanese

[edit] Navarone Island

(AO) Navarone Island is taken up entirely by the Navy base, G-8. This is the location of the G8 Arc.

G-8: This is a Navy base with buildings along the coast and the most important ones being held in a rock formation in the middle of the cape. The only way to enter and exit is through a large gate blocking the cape.

Straw Bridge: A bridge leading from the coast to the center.

Trivia: This base was shown in the fourth movie, and also featured commander jonathon in some of the pictures. The person at navarone was not him though.

[edit] Navy Headquarters

This is the headquarters of the Navy and seems to be where the Admirals reside, along with the Vice-Admirals and any other lower officer when they aren't assigned to another base.

[edit] Omatsuri Island

(AO) Omatsuri Island is supposedly a resort island led by Baron Omatsuri. In actuality, however, this was all a ruse to attract strong pirates for Omatsuri to feed his man-eating plant, the Lily Carnation, and all of the people were created by that plant. [edit] Raftel

Raftel - ラフテル (Rafuteru) is the last island on the Grand Line, on the other side of Reverse Mountain, and is supposidely the location of the treasure that unites everything, One Piece. However, the only person to ever confirm its existence was the legendary Pirate King Gold Roger and his crew.

The only person that we can actually confirmed visited the mysterious island is therefore Gol D. Roger, although since both Red-Hair Shanks and Buggy the Clown served the Pirate King in their youths, it would be very likely that they too visited Raftel.

[edit] Randolph's Island

(U)(AO) This is the island where Randolph made his last performance in a play. This is the location of "Protect! The Last Great Performance", the third one-hour special of One Piece.

[edit] Ruluka Island

(AO) Ruluka Island was ruled by Mayor Whetton, a former pirate who charged taxes for even the smallest action. However, he was expelled by the Straw Hat Pirates. A spacetime distortion called the Rainbow Mist often appears near this island. This is the location of Rainbow Mist Arc.

Ape's Concert: A subdimension found inside the Rainbow Mist that is impossible to escape unless the Rainbow Tower is used to open it from the outside.

[edit] Thriller Bark

Thriller Bark is the name of an island located within the Florian Triangle Area. Not much is known about it at the time being, however, as revealed by Brook, it used to be from the West Blue. In chapter 449, it gets revealed that Thriller Bark is actually Gecko Moria's pirate ship and he sails it with the help of the bounty hunters on the ship. Due to its name and the abundance of zombies on the island, it can be seen as a tribute to the Michael Jackson hit Thriller. It's actually the world's largest pirate ship.

[edit] Vanaro Island

The site for the duel between Ace and Blackbeard, and so has been reduced to ruins.

Unnamed town: The only settlement on the island. Blackbeard first raided it with his crew and then crushed it into a pile of wood with his powers. Resembles a traditional Old West town, complete with wagons, and the citizens are mostly clad in Cowboy garb.

Banana Rock: A rock situated near the town. Destroyed during the fight.

[edit] Water 7

Log Change: Seven Days

Water 7 is a city of carpenters that relies on the use of waterways for transportation. The city itself is built into the shape of a fountain with several layers of buildings. Surrounding the city are seven numbered gates that act as entrances for the Galley-La Company's docks. Every year, a high tide called Aqua Laguna engulfs all of the city except for the top, and the city itself is slowly sinking into the ocean every year. Years ago, Water 7 was a hub of commerce until it was discovered that the city is sinking, and as a result it was abandoned. However, due to the efforts of Tom, the Sea Train connected Water 7 to the nearby islands and the city flourished once again. This is the location of the Water 7 arc. After the Enis lobby arc, the place is being planned by Iceburg to be built into a ship to survive.

Judging from its architecture, the city is probably based on Venice.

Blue Station: This is where the Sea Trains stops at Water 7.

Dock One: Dock One is considered the best dock in the Galley-La Company, and is the only one seen. Iceburg's mansion is close to here.

Franky House: This is the headquarters of the Franky Family. It was destroyed by the Straw Hat Pirates and later repaired in bad shape.

Turn Station: This is the lighthouse where Kokoro, Chimney, and Gonbe live.

[edit] Ukkari

The hot springs island. An island near alabasta, where Getdatzu, a giant mole and Koza's uncle made a hotspring resort.

[edit] Seas of the Sky

There are two seas in the sky: the White Sea and the White-White Sea, with the latter being higher than the former. Both seas are contained in the Millennium Cumulunimbus cloud, a massive cloud, and the sea is actually made up of a substance called sea cloud. Most of the islands are made up of island cloud, with the exception of Upper Yard. Since soil can yield plant life much better than island cloud can, the people of the sky have a religious reverence for it and any material that comes from the Blue Sea. As opposed to the beli of the rest of the world, these seas use extols as currency. The daily life of sky people revolves around the use of dials, which normally aren't available in the Blue Sea. The people are unique in that they have small wings on their backs, similar to the stereotypical angel, though no use has been revealed for them. The two islands seen are grouped together as Skypiea and are both on the White-White Sea, though it should be noted that not every sky island is part of Skypiea.

[edit] Angel Island

Angel Island is where the sky people lived and was part of Skypiea. It was destroyed by Enel. This is one of the locations of the Skypiea arc.

Gan Fall's Home: This is where the Knight of the Sky lives, which is out of the range of Enel's mantra.

Heaven's Gate: This is the entrance to Skypiea, located on the White Sea, where visitors must pay 1 billion extols per person to enter.

Lovely Street: This is the main marketplace on the island.

[edit] Bilka

Bilka is where Enel is from and isn't part of Skypiea. He destroyed it before he took over Upper Yard.

[edit] Upper Yard

Upper Yard is a part of Skypiea and is the only island of soil in the sky, being actually a part of Jaya. When it was launched into the sky, it was considered a holy land and the native Shandians were forcably removed. Since then, for four-hundred years, there has been constant war between the sky people and the Shandians. Gan Fall tried to negotiate peace, but this failed when Enel stole his post. Skypiea is ruled by a "god" who resides in Upper Yard, though this is simply supposed to be a title and not literal. However, Enel took this too seriously and considered himself a real god. When preparations for his "Ark Maxim" were finished, he tried to destroy Skypiea, but before he destroyed Upper Yard he was defeated by Monkey D. Luffy. Currently, the island is ruled by Gan Fall once again and the war has ended, with the sky people and Shandians now living together in peace on Upper Yard. Upper Yard is also the location of the Poneglyph of Shandra. This is one of the locations of the Skypiea arc.

Giant Jack: This is a giant beanstalk in the middle of the island that leads to God's Domain.

God's Domain: This is the place where "God" and his helpers stayed, though it has been destroyed by Enel.

Lost Forest: The Lost Forest takes up the majority of the island and is filled with giant trees and animals enhanced by the strange qualities of the water in the White-White Sea.

Milky Road: Milky Road is a river of sea cloud that serves as a means to travel around Upper Yard.

Sacrificial Alter: This is an alter used by the ancient Shandians to offer sacrifices to their god, and was used by Enel to hold hostages for his ordeals.

Shandian Village: The village where the Shandians lived, until they moved back to Upper Yard, which is hidden by a layer of island cloud.

Shandra: Shandra is the golden city the ancient Shandians used to inhabit. However, Enel removed all of the gold to use in his Ark Maxim.

Golden Bell: The golden bell of Shandra is the symbol of their civilization and was used in religious ceremonies. However, once Montblanc Norland left, they have since rang the bell every day so that he would be able to find his way back, until the island was launched into the sky. A popular belief among the sky people is that, since the "island sang" when Upper Yard landed in the White-White Sea, marking the beginning of the war with the Shandians, then when the island sang again the war would end. This was proven true when Luffy rang the bell. On the bell's base is the Poneglyph of Shandra, along with a note from Gold Roger.

[edit] Other

These are islands that have not been distinguished.

Paladego: The main island that Dragon operates at, possibly the head of the Revolutionaries.
