[edit] The Revolutionary Army

[edit] Magnus Gallant

The main character in this game. The son of Ankiseth. Leader of the Blue Knights. The future king of Palatinus, and future father of Aeneas. At a young age, he witnessed his father kill a noble who intended to assassinate his childhood friend, Prince Yumil. The people called Ankiseth a murderer, and he never denied it, which pushed Magnus away from his father. At the age of twelve years, he left Latium to join the Military Academy.

Upon graduation at the age of eighteen years, he was assigned to the Southern Division under General Godeslas. As a command candidate, he was assigned an advisor, a man named Hugo Miller. Hugo chose Magnus to be the commander of a training exercise, which angered a fellow candidate, named Dio. He challenged Magnus to a duel, which Magnus refused, saying there was no reason to fight. During the training exercise at Tenne, they stumbled across some bandits, and found out about the plot to capture Prince Yumil. Magnus rushed to the Volmus Mines to rescue Yumil. When he rescued Yumil and his two body guards, Rhade and Jeal, Rhade ordered Magnus to kill all the rebels. Magnus captured the enemy leader, instead of killing him. When Rhade tried to execute the rebel, Magnus tried to stop him, in vain. Magnus got his first glimpse of Zenobians when they rescued the rebel.

Two months after the incident, Magnus was promoted to Captain, and was given command of his own knight battalion, the Blue Knights. The Blue Knights were ordered to escort Yumil through Mylesia unharmed. Upon doing so, Yumil gave his thoughts to Magnus, and asked Magnus to be his knight. Magnus was then ordered to investigate the Zenobian border. Magnus dueled with Quass Debonair, a Zenobian general who he saw at the Volmus Mine. Debonair fled, and Magnus chased after him, and encountred the rest of the Zenobians. Magnus and Destin debated right and wrong, and Magnus agreed that the current state of the kingdom was wrong. The Palatinean Revolution took over most of the Southern Division, and Magnus was ordered to capture the leader, Frederick Raskin. Magnus did so, but he realized that Frederick was a very kind man, and when Rhade ordered Magnus to execute Frederick, Magnus instead freed him, and they fled. Magnus joined the Revolutionary Army, and the Blue Knights followed him.

With the Revolutionary Army, Magnus stormed Alba Castle and defeated General Godeslas, effectively conquering the Southern Division. Two months later, the battle between the Southern Division and the Western Division escalated. Magnus freed the Nirdamese from the Audvera mining facilities, and defeated Rhade at Mount Ithaca, freeing the Nirdamese from their slavery in Palatinus. Magnus met his father Ankiseth, the acting commander of the Western Division army. They exchanged ideologies, and Ankiseth offered his advice before departing. Although Magnus had orders from headquarters to defeat the Western Division in battle, Magnus opted to make peace with the Western Division. Magnus and the Revolutionary Army then focused their sights on the Eastern Division. Magnus rescued a woman who was being pursued by the Eastern Division. She was Europea, Captain of the Berthan Sentinels. She informed Magnus that Archbishop Odiron had been framed and jailed by Kerikov. Magnus and Europea defeated Kerikov at Celesis, and rescued Odiron. Odiron informed Magnus that Lodis wanted the Ultimate Power, and that Kerikov had told them the location. Magnus headed to the Temple of Berthe. After defeating the Lodis commander Pruflas, Magnus witnessed Yumil unlocking the seal on the chaos gate at the temple. Yumil descended to the Netherworld, and demons began coming from the gate. Magnus was forced to retreat.

After regrouping, and learning about the significance of what was happening from Saradin, Magnus and the Blue Knights marched towards the Temple of Berthe so they could destroy the chaos gate. On the way, Magnus encountered Richard and Baldwin, but he was saved by Destin and Gilbert, who urged him to rush to the Temple. Magnus destroyed the temple and sealed the chaos gate. With the East, West, and South under Revolutionary control, the last region was the Central Division. Magnus sieged Fort Romulus, defeating the traitor Xevec, and Prince Amrius, who had succumbed to the Infernal Aura. Magnus then marched on to Latium, where he encountered Procus and Yumil. Procus succumbed to the Infernal Aura, but was defeated in battle. Procus fled to Yumil for help, but Yumil cast him into a void. Yumil encountered his best friend, Magnus, and tried to persuade him before he cast the ultimate spell. Magnus refused to join him. Yumil summoned the Knights of Danika to his side, and fought Magnus. Despite the odds, Magnus and the Blue Knights defeated Yumil. When Yumil was about to surrender to Magnus, Mari became possessed by an unknown force and pierced Yumil with his sword from behind. Zeda appeared and captured Mari. Yumil told Magnus to stop Zeda from starting the Ogre Battle, and died in his best friend's arms.

With Palatinus conquered, Magnus asked to be dismissed from the Revolutionary Army so he could pursue Zeda and Lodis. Frederick allowed him to do so. Magnus killed Thamuz during his pursuit, enraging Baldwin. Magnus moved on to Wentinus, and defeated Baldwin and Richard. Baldwin escaped with Zeda to the ruins of Mount Keryoleth, where they began preparations to summon Danika. Magnus defeated Baldwin again, but he was too late to stop Danika from being summoned. Danika transformed into the Queen of the Netherworld, and the gates of the Netherworld opened. Magnus and the Blue Knights fought back the demons and defeated Danika. Magnus went on to have a son, Aeneas (the mother is theorized to be Leia), and he became the King of Palatinus when Frederick suddenly died.

[edit] Diomedes Rangue

Half-Southerner, half-Indigan. Born in Gunther, in the town of Mosaka. Has a younger brother living there that looks up to him. Dio was ridiculed during his youth for being a Southerner. Joined the Military Academy because he wanted to be a Latium knight. Was dispatched to the Southern Division, where he was placed in Magnus' battalion, the Blue Knights. Challenged Magnus to a duel because Dio felt he would make a better leader. Eventually learns to accept his shortcomings, and respect Magnus as his superior. Chaos path: If you choose to accept Dio's duel, he will desert your army and become a dragoon fighting for the Central Division. In this path you must kill Dio.

[edit] Leia Silvis

The daughter of Numitol Silvis, and best friend of Meredia O'Keefe. Born in Remus Keep, Argent. Despite her nobility, attended the Military Academy in Latium, because she wanted to make a name for herself instead of living under her father. Was dispatched to the Southern Division, and assigned to Magnus' battalion, the Blue Knights. When Magnus left the Southern Division and joined the Palatinean Revolution, Leia followed him there as well. When the Blue Knights arrived at Argent, they found the demons in control. Leia feared that her father had succumbed to the Infernal Aura. Her fears became a reality, and she was forced to kill her father.

[edit] Fredrick Raskin

The idealistic leader of the Revolutionary army. He leads the revolution because he is disgusted with the social structure of Palatinus. Welcomes the Blue Knights after Magnus and Dio work to free him from Royal custody.

[edit] Hugo Miller

An advisor and tactician in the Southern Division to Magnus, Dio, and Leia. Now retired, he was once a Knight in the Central Division with Ankiseth. Followed Magnus to the Palatinean Revolution, and played a key role in the Blue Knights' future battles.

[edit] Ankiseth Gallant

The father of Magnus, and former General of the Central Division (General of the Palatinean Army). Saved Prince Yumil from an assassin sent by King Procus. Killed the assassin, who was a noble. Was called Ankiseth "The Murderer" for his actions, and was later demoted to General of the Western Division. While in the Central Division, fought together with Hugo Miller, and also fought against Biske La Varet, capturing, and jailing him. Was demoted even further, to 2nd in command of the Western Division, when Yumil was made the General. When the Western Division battled the Palatinean Revolution, fought his son and the Blue Knights at Castle Ziggiveld in Soathon, but was defeated. Returned to Castle Talpaea in Wentinus. Later, confronted Magnus, revealing the truth of what had happened when he saved Yumil from the noble. Went to meet the Blue Knights to discuss peace talks. Castle Talpaea was attacked by the Caliginous Order during his absence, and he joined forces with the Blue Knights in order to rescue Yumil. Despite their efforts, Baldwin was able to escape with Yumil. Joined the Blue Knights afterwards. After the liberation of Palatinus, became an advisor to King Frederick.

[edit] Destin Faroda

Hero of the Zenobian Revolution. Was chosen by fate to overthrow the Holy Zetigenian Empire. As a seer, Warren saw this and appointed him leader of the Zenobian Revolution. Liberated the continent of Zeteginea from the rule of Endora, and stopped Rashidi's plan to summon Demundza. After the Revolution, immediately left for Palatinus to halt Lodis' plans to invade Zenobia. Assisted Frederick in forming the Palatinean Revolutionary Army. Played a large role in swaying Magnus to turn coat and join the Palatinean Revolution. Two months later, left the Revolution because the original goal of removing Lodis from power had changed. Began monitoring Lodis' activities once they entered Palatinus. Traced Richard to the Temple of Berthe, and found that he was trying to obtain the Ultimate Power. Destin and Gilbert dueled with Richard and Baldwin, which kept them occupied long enough for the Blue Knights to destroy the temple. Soon after, joined the Blue Knights. After the Palatinean Revolution, and after stopping the Caliginous Order's plans, headed for Nirdam to liberate it from Lodis' control. Destin was also the main character of *Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen.

[edit] Quass Debonair

One of the Four Devas of Zeteginia. Lover of Norn. Born in the Highlands. Wields the Sonic Blade. Was one of the most respected and honorable men in the Zeteginean Empire. Fell out of favor with Endora and was demoted. Fought the Zenobian Revolution at Zenobia Castle and was defeated. He went back to the Highlands because he had questions about Endora and her policies. When he did, he was placed under arrest as a traitor. Norn and the Zenobian Revolution freed him at the sky island Shangrila. He joined the Zenobian Revolution realizing that Endora was in the wrong. After the war, he immediately left with Destin to travel to Palatinus. Participated in anti-Lodis activity, and helped form the Palatinean Revolutionary Army. Fought Magnus and the Southern Division at Fort Crenel on the border of Zenobia, delaying them long enough to allow refugees to enter Zenobia. Left the army when its goals changed. Met up with Magnus in the Tremos Mountains, and joined to prevent Lodis from acquiring the Ultimate Power.

[edit] Troi Tyton

Teenager who joined the Blue Knights at Mylesia, because they impressed him in battle. His cheerful demeanor keeps his comrades happy. Has taken a liking to Katreda Birall.

[edit] Katreda Birall

The daughter of Asnabel. Joined the Blue Knights in order to free her father from imprisonment in the Gunther Mines. Seems to like Troi Tyton.

[edit] Asnabel Birall

The leader of Gunther and father of Katreda. Formerly a knight in the Central Division. Would have been a high ranking officer if he didn't rebel against Lodis. Worked hard as a slave at the Gunther Mines, giving the other slaves hope. Stood up to Makisi at the Gunther Mines, and was imprisoned for his actions. Joined the Blue Knights after he was rescued by Katreda and Magnus.

[edit] Aisha Knudel

The daughter of High Priest Foris, Aisha was born in Avalon. She left Avalon at the age of 16 in conjunction with Avalon tradition and trained to become a priest. She returned two years later, to find that her mother had been executed by Prince Gares as an example to the temples. She then joined the Zenobian Revolutionary Army to take revenge on Gares. After the fall of the Zeteginean Empire, she accompanies Destin north to participate in anti-Lodis activities. Two months after joining the Palatinean Revolution, went on a mission to free the Bolmaukans from slavery in the Western Division. During the operation she was separated from her battalion, and joined Blue Knights at the town of Puld in the Audvera Heights.

[edit] Liedel Klein

The former leader of the Order of Red Branch, which was a Central Division battalion. Her battalion was supposed to be used as reinforcements by the Southern Division, but were slaughtered by the netherworld at Dardunnelles when Godlesas used the Fruit of the Netherworld. Two months later, she confronted Magnus and the Blue Knights, under the impression that it was the Blue Knights who summoned the netherworld, not the Southern Division. Magnus tells her the truth, and she joins the Blue Knights.

[edit] Vad Orok Zlenka

Nirdamese warrior with great strength. A slave of Lodis, was forced into their Nirdamese army. Fought the Blue Knights at Mount Ithaca, under the control of Rhade. After Rhade was defeated, the Bolmaukans were set free, and Vad joined the Blue Knights in order to liberate other Bolmaukans. After the Palatinean Revolution, joins his Zenobian comrades and the Berthan Sentinels on the Nirdam front line.

[edit] Saradin Carm

One of Rashidi's three apprentices. Tried to stop his master Rashidi from taking over Zeteginia, but Rashidi had Albeleo turn Saradin into a stone statue. Saradin was able to stay hidden because the sculptor Balkas made many replicas of Saradin. 25 years later, Saradin was freed when Destin used the Bell of Light on him. Joined the Zenobian Revolution at Balmoria, and fought with Albeleo at the Ruins. Defeated his rival, but Albeleo's body vanished. After defeating Rashidi and the Zeteginian Empire, immediately left with Destin for Palatinus, to participate in anti-Lodis activity. Helped Frederick form the Palatinean Revolutionary Army. Joined Magnus' battalion, the Blue Knights at Mount Ithaca because his comrade Aisha had done so as well. After the Palatinean Revolution's victory, travels with Destin to the Nirdamese frontline.

[edit] Sheen Cocteau

A peace loving Hawkman. Wants to live in a happy world where there are lots of cool chicks. Left the kingdom of Lodis because it did not follow this ideology, and met the Blue Knights after entering Palatinus, at the Azure Plains. Joined them because they shared the same ideologies as his own.

[edit] Meredia O'Keife

Flirtatious member of the Blue Knights. Cheerful and well liked by others. A childhood friend of Leia, she was raised by Count Silvis when her parents died. Went to see Magnus to inform him that Count Silvis supports the Palatinean Revolution. She then joined the Blue Knights as a favor to Count Silvis and Leia.

[edit] Europea Rheda

Captain of the Berthan Sentinels. She was discovered as a child on the doorstep of the church with the Starry Sky, and thus was called the Astral Knight. She was chased out of Celesis and hunted by Fourierre and the Eastern Division when Kerikov framed Odiron, but was rescued by the Blue Knights. She joined them to rescue Odiron and restore order to the Eastern Orthodox Church. After the Palatinean Revolution succeeded, she headed to the Nirdam frontline to assist them.

[edit] Paul Lukische

Doll Master who turned his friend to stone. Convinced to join the Blue Knights.

[edit] Biske La Varet

Rebelled against the Central Division because they gave in to Lodis' demands. Was very popular, and became known as Biske the Beast for his savageness in combat (and the fact that he was inflicted with the Werewolf Virus). He was defeated by Ankiseth, and imprisoned for his crimes. Ten years later, the Central Division agreed to free him from jail if he fought against the Palatinean Revolution. Biske squared off against a rebel by the name of Magnus, the son of the man who had imprisoned him. Magnus defeated Biske like his father before him, but afterwards allowed Biske to join the Blue Knights because they both wanted to bring down the Central Division. Wields an Evil Blade, and wears Jenulene armor when not in Werewolf form.

Name is derived from Bisclaveret ("The Werewolf"), a short story written by Marie de France in the 12th century.

[edit] Gilbert Oblion

The former governor of Sharom, and best friend of Canopus Wolff, whose life he saved once. When the Zeteginean Empire invaded Sharom, Gilbert gave up peacefully instead of fighting, and was allowed to retain his position as governor. Despite his intent to do what was best for Sharom, the people began to call him the empire's dog. When Canopus joined the Zenobian Revolution, they fought each other. Gilbert lost, but Destin allowed him to join the revolution after Canopus convinced him to hear out Gilbert's side of the story. Gilbert pledged his life to Destin, and after the revolution, headed with him to Palatinus. Participated in rebel activity, and helped form the Palatinean Revolution. Left the revolution when it was no longer about getting rid of Lodis. Found out about the Caliginous Order's plans at the Temple of Berthe. Alongside Destin, dueled with Richard and Baldwin, delaying them long enough for the Blue Knights to destroy the Temple. Joined the Blue Knights with Destin shortly after. After the Palatinean Revolution, traveled back to Zenobia to inform King Tristan of the current situation.

[edit] Carth Forleizen

Formerly a Knight in the Brigade of Radiant Cross. Was assigned to find the Temple of Berthe, where he witnessed the demons coming forth from the chaos gate. After realizing that the Brigade was being used by Richard so he could acquire the Ultimate Power, Carth left the Brigade. Joined the Blue Knights after killing Amazeroth at Ptia, but went back to Lodis after the revolution.

[edit] Holy Lodis Empire "The Caliginous Order"

[edit] Baldwin Glendale

Knight of the Caliginous Order. The son of Godfrey Glendale, and younger brother of the Order's Death Templar, Richard. Close to Thamuz Deville, who served Godfrey while he was still alive. Jealous of his own brother because of the success he has achieved. Gave the Fruit of the Netherworld to General Godeslas, to test out its capabilities. Introduced Mari to Yumil when Yumil became General of the Western Division. Kidnapped the couple when the Western Division lost to the Palatinean Revolution, before they could join as well. Arranged to have Yumil eat the Fruit of the Netherworld so he could unlock the chaos gate at the Temple of Berthe, and allow the Caliginous Order to enter the Netherworld. When he and Richard were on the outskirts of the Temple, they encountered Destin and Gilbert, who were able to delay them long enough to allow Magnus and the Blue Knights to destroy the temple.

Upon returning to Latium, was double-crossed by Zeda, and attacked by Vapula and Amazeroth. Fled the castle with Richard and Thamuz. Encountered Zeda fleeing Latium with Mari when the Central Division lost, and forced her to give the Caliginous Order the Ultimate Power after they helped her resurrect Danika. Was prepared to fight the Blue Knights in Aurua, but Thamuz sacrificed his life to give Baldwin time to escape. Richard ordered Baldwin to defend Wentinus, but to escape if death was imminent. Was upset at Richard for his unwillingness to grieve Thamuz's death.

After being defeated by the Blue Knights at Wentinus, he fled to the forests of Keryoleth. When Richard arrived, badly injured from his own encounter with the Blue Knights, Baldwin killed his brother in a fit of jealousy and rage. Met up with Zeda at the Keryoleth Ruins to resurrect Danika. Planned on killing Danika after obtaining the Ultimate Power from her. Was alerted to the Blue Knight's presence during the ritual and moved to encounter them. After losing to Magnus and being badly wounded, retreated back to the ruins, where he found Zeda slain by Mari, and Danika floating in front of Mari. Baldwin killed Mari, and demanded the Ultimate Power from Danika, but this angered her and she critically injured him with a blast of energy. Baldwin's death completed Danika's resurrection, and she transformed into the Queen of the Netherworld.

[edit] Richard Glendale

Leader of the Caliginous Order. The son of Godfrey, and elder brother to Baldwin. Strives to return power to the Caliginous Order, which was disenfranchised during his father's term as leader. He's known as the Dragonheart for his valor and deeds. Was sent to Palatinus when the revolution began to get out of hand. He wants to find the ultimate power to make the Caliginous Order the powerhouse it was before Godfrey's death. Made a deal with Zeda to receive the Ultimate Power when they found it for her. His plans were halted by Destin, and the Blue Knights destroyed the Temple of Berthe, ending his bid for the Ultimate Power. Afterward, he fled from Latium when Zeda betrayed him and sided with the Central Division. When the Central Division was defeated, caught up with Zeda at the Aurua Plains when she was trying to flee Latium to go to Mount Keryoleth with Mari. Forced her to cooperate with him, and give him the Ultimate Power when Danika is resurrected. Formed base at Castle Talpaea. When Baldwin informed Richard that Thamuz had perished, hid his feelings from Baldwin, and sent him off to battle. Wanted Baldwin to receive the Ultimate Power. Was defeated by the Blue Knights and retreated towards Mount Keryoleth. Was confronted by Baldwin in the woods and killed, because Baldwin thought Richard did not care about Thamuz's death.

[edit] Thamuz Delville

Commander in the Caliginous Order. Has been a member of the Order since the reign of Godfrey Glendale. Has dedicated his life to restoring the Order to its former glory. After being forced to flee Latium with Baldwin and Richard, encountered Zeda on her way to Keryoleth, and forced her to assist them in gaining the Ultimate Power. Encountered the Blue Knights with Baldwin at Aurua. Gave his life to allow Baldwin time to escape.

[edit] Pruflas Watts

Knight of the Caliginous Order assigned to release the ultimate power from the Temple of Berthe. Forced Yumil to eat the Fruit of the Netherworld at the Tremos Mountains, to give him the power to unlock the seal. Yumil escaped, and Pruflas had to attempt to break the seal on his own. When he failed, he was killed by the Blue Knights.

[edit] Vapula Simburg

Knight of the Caliginous Order. Formerly one of the 4 Devas of Zeteginia. Succumbed to the Infernal Aura and betrayed the Order. Was killed at the Blue Basilica, by the only living Deva, Quass Debonair.

Knight Templar in the Brigade of the Radiant Cross.

[edit] Kingdom of Palatinus

[edit] Prince Yumil

The son of King Procus, and younger brother of Amrius. The second Prince of Palatinus, the queen died giving birth to him. Is hated by Procus because he blames Yumil for the death of the queen. Has silver hair and purple eyes, unlike the rest of his family. Became childhood friends with Magnus, son of the Palatinean General Ankiseth Gallant. Procus tried to have Yumil killed as a youth. Ankiseth stopped the attempted murderer, and has been serving as Yumil's bodyguard ever since. Was attacked by a group of rebels at Volmus while traveling from Latium to the Western Division with Central Division knights Rhade and Jeal. Was rescued by Magnus, who was training with other recent Southern Division cadets at Tenne. Was attacked by Zhontac and the Palatinean Revolution on the way through Mylesia to the Western Division. Realized he was powerless, and asked Magnus to be his knight.

After the Southern Division was lost to the Palatinean Revolution, Yumil was appointed General of the Western Division. He was given the Clau Solace, and was presented with a common girl named Mari to be his servant. They quickly took a liking to each other. Was disturbed upon hearing that Magnus had become a member of the Revolution. Wanted to stop the needless fighting between the West and the Revolution, but the Revolution denied his request for peace. After the Revolution defeated the Western Division at Wentinus, Yumil was about to join the Revolutionary Army before he was kidnapped by Baldwin. He was forced to eat the Fruit of the Netherworld at the Tremos Mountains, which unlocked his divine power. He used this power to break the seal on the chaos gate at the Temple of Berthe, and descended to the Netherworld. Gained the Ultimate Power, and returned to Latium with the Knights of Danika. Forced his father Procus to go along with his plan.

Yumil planned to use the Forbidden Spell. He did not, because he wanted Magnus to be by his side. When Procus demanded Yumil cast the spell, Yumil killed his father. When Magnus arrived shortly after, he refused to go along with Yumil's plan, and they battled. When Yumil had lost, he and Mari admitted he had no intention of reviving Danika. Upon hearing this, Zeda appeared from behind and stabbed him, kidnapping Mari in the confusion. Yumil died in his best friend's arms. When Danika was revived, Magnus encountered her and it was revealed that Yumil was the legendary Child of the Covenant, given up by the Progenitor, Virago Dulmare. He was the vessel of Danika.

[edit] Mari Callan

A commoner who remembers nothing about her past. She is presented to Yumil as a servant when he is appointed General of the Western Division. She becomes depressed when she realizes that she cannot help Yumil when he finds out that Magnus has joined the Palatinean Revolution. A mysterious woman named Zeda appears before her, and unlocks a secret power within her. She becomes pregnant with Yumil's child. When Latium falls to the Palatinean Revolution, she is forced to watch Yumil die, which traumatizes her. Zeda kidnaps her, and plans on using her to revive Danika. Upon arrival at Mount Keryoleth, Zeda reveals that Mari is the daughter of the Sage of Zeteginia, Rashidi, and tells Mari that she can revive Danika with the power that is part of her blood. Mari wants no part of it, and kills Zeda with the same sword Zeda used on Yumil. She thinks of losing Yumil, and begins stabbing the ground in sadness, which unwittingly revives Danika. Baldwin returns, and kills Mari so he can receive the Ultimate Power. Mari is last seen by Kerikov. A small child leaves her womb, and kills Kerikov, and reveals himself to be the 4th reincarnation of Rashidi.

[edit] King Procus Dulmare

The King of Palatinus, and father of Amrius and Yumil. His wife died giving birth to Yumil. When Lodis decimated the kingdom of Nirdam, he quickly signed a peace treaty with Lodis to avoid the same thing happening to Palatinus. The treaty was very disadvantagous to Palatinus, but allowed for Procus to retain his autonomy, although he was to be supervised by the Triumvirate sent from Lodis. When the Palatinean Revolution became a problem, Lodis sent the Brigade of Radiant Cross to take control of the matter, although this was just a cover to find the Ultimate Power. When Lodis failed in their attempt, Zeda double crossed the Caliginous Order, and offered the darkness to Procus and Amrius. They both accepted. They caught the Caliginous Order off guard, and Lodis control was removed from Latium, and the Central Division joined forces with the netherworld. After Amrius died at Fort Romulus, Yumil returned and with the Knights of Danika and confronted Procus, demanding that he recognize Yumil as the ruler of the kingdom, and to assist him in casting a forbidden spell. With no means of stopping Yumil's bodyguards, Procus had no choice but to agree. Fought the Blue Knights at Castle Winnea, buying time for Yumil to cast the spell. Was defeated and retreated to Yumil, demanding that he cast the spell. Yumil refused, and killed his father.

[edit] Prince Amrius Dulmare

The Prince of Palatinus. Amirus was the first son of King Procus, and elder brother of Prince Yumil. He despises his father for allowing Lodis to control Palatinus, and looks forward to getting Lodis out of Palatinus when he becomes king. He wanted the Ultimate Power to rid the country of Lodis, but Kerikov betrayed him, and told the Caliginous Order of his plans. Amrius approached Zeda, and asked for her help. She double crossed the Caliginous Order and joined forces with the Central Division, while Amrius succumbed to the Infernal Aura. He fought the Palatinean Revolution at Fort Romulus, summoning demons to assist him, but was killed in battle.

[edit] Kerikov Barthes

General of the Eastern Division in Palatinus. Planted the fruit of the netherworld among the fruits at a banquet, and accused Archbishop Odiron of dealing with demons when one of the Berthan Sentinels was afflicted with the Infernal Aura. He was able to uncover the location of the Temple of Berthe from Odiron, but gave the information to the Caliginous Order, instead of Prince Amrius, hoping to be accepted by Lodis. Pruflas took the information and cast him aside. Amrius also turned the traitor away. He fought the Blue Knights at Celesis, and was defeated. He snuck out when Magnus was distracted. When he tried to flee to Lodis with top secret information, he was killed by a newly reincarnated Rashidi.

[edit] Numitol Silvis

The Lord of Argent, and father of Leia. When Lodis invaded Wentinus, many children were orphaned. Silvis opened the Magic Academy to them, which provided them an education. Many became excellent sorcerers, including Meredia.

[edit] Odiron Balum

The Archbishop of the Eastern Orthodox Church. Only he knows the location of the Temple of Berthe. He met Magnus during the military graduation ceremony. Very defensive of the church, he did not attack the Revolution despite leading the Eastern Division, but was framed by Kerikov, to look as he was consorting with the Netherworld. His status restored after the Blue Knights liberated the East, he supports the revolution, and the push against Lodis.

[edit] Xevec Nulaton

Leader of the Southern Tigers, a battalion in the Palatinean Revolutionary Army. Though he and Frederick share the same goal, their beliefs differ as he believes that the nobility should be killed. Suggested the Palatinean Revolution free the Bolmaukans, and then use them to fight the Western Division. Turned traitor and joined the Central Division when it became apparent to him that the Revolution was a lost cause. Was killed by Magnus and the Blue Knights at Fort Romulus.

[edit] Eurynome Rhade

A fiery Knight of Latium. Wields a Firedrake Sword and Inferno Shield. Hates the lower class and gives them no sympathy. Was assigned to escort Prince Yumil through the Volmus Mines but was attacked by rebels. After being rescued by Magnus, attempted to execute Qad, but was stopped by Debonair and the other Zenobians. Ultimately caused Magnus to turncoat and join the Palatinean Revolutionary Army by ordering him to execute Frederick. Used the Bolmaukans to fight the Palatinean Revolution at Mylesia and was defeated, but escaped. When the Western Division tried to make peace with the Revolutionary Army at Ithaca, he pulled rank and ordered another attack with the Bolmaukans. The Western Division does not send reinforcements, and he is killed by Magnus.

[edit] Jeal Veritte

A knight of the Central Division. Was escorting Prince Yumil at the Volmus Mine when they were ambushed by rebels. After being rescued by Magnus, took part in an interrogation and execution of Qad, which was interrupted by Destin, Debonair, Saradin, and Aisha. Afterwards, returned to the Central Division. Four months later, was called upon to stop the Palatinean Revolution from making contact with the Eastern Orthodox Church. Was killed at the Gules Hills by Liedel and the Palatinean Revolutionary Army.

[edit] Godeslas Branic

General of the Southern Division, and governs it from Akka Castle. Magnus' former commander. The Branic family is low ranking nobility, so he will do anything to advance his status. Baldwin tricked him into using the fruit of the netherworld. Godeslas fed the fruit of the netherworld to his family, and turned them into demons in an attempt to stop the Palatinean Revolution, but he failed. Was killed by Magnus at Akka Castle.

[edit] Ariosh

The right hand man of General Godeslas. Was sent to Dardunnelles to protect it from the Palatinean Revolution. When he was defeated, Magnus and Destin interrogated him on the Netherworld monsters they encountered during the battle.

[edit] The Netherworld

[edit] Demundza

The god of the Netherworld. Abducted Danika, and brought her to the netherworld. Under the protection of Berthe, the king and his knights ventured into the Netherworld and defeated Demundza to rescue Danika. Demundza offered to return her if Berthe blessed the Netherworld, and make it fertile. Berthe did, but found that since Danika had already eaten a Pomegrate (the fruit of the netherworld), she could not return. Demundza used Berthe's blessing to initiate the invasion of Earth, known as the Ogre Battle. In the year 250, was summoned by Rashidi with the power of the Black Diamond, but was beaten back into the Netherworld by the Zenobian Revolution.

[edit] Danika

The Demigoddess of Fertility, and Queen of the Netherworld. Child of Berthe and a human king. She was captured by Demundza, and taken down to the Netherworld. She was tricked into eating the Fruit of the Netherworld, and when the human king came to rescue her, found out that she could not leave because of the Fruit. Berthe put her in a deep slumber and separated her limbs from her body. Her limbs transformed into the Knights of Danika, and they were to guard her resting place. She granted the Virago Dulmare the Ultimate Power, in exchange for one of his descendants becoming a vessel for her. The vessel turned out to be Yumil. She was summoned by Mari, and transformed into the Queen of the Netherworld, but she was defeated by Magnus and the Blue Knights, and reverted back to the Goddess of Fertility. She returned to the Netherworld after issuing a grim omen on the fate of the world and a second Ogre Battle.

[edit] Knights of Danika

The Silent protectors of the covenant, these unearthly Knights protect Yumil the chosen after his ascension.

[edit] Zeda Libeiro

Gorgon who wanted to revive Danika. Unlocked Mari's magic powers. Offered the Caliginous Order the Ultimate Power in return for their assistance. After the Temple of Berthe was destroyed, she double crossed them, and offered the Central Division the same deal. When the Central Division lost to the Palatinean Revolution and Yumil revealed that he had no intention of reviving Danika, Mari stabbed him from behind in a fit of confused emotion, killing him. Zeda then kidnapped Mari and set out for Mount Keryoleth in a last ditch effort to revive Danika. On the way she was confronted by Richard and the Caliginous Order, not pleased that she had double crossed them. In exchange for their help, she was to give them the Ultimate Power when she revived Danika. At Mount Keryoleth she tried to make Mari summon Danika, but instead, Mari killed her with the Clau Solace.

[edit] Frohm the Idealist

Demon who wanted to live like a human. Befriended the humans of Tybell, and tried to convert them to the law of the netherworld. Was beaten by the Blue Knights, and died after revealing the netherworld's plans to take over Earth and make it like the netherworld.

She invented the Pumpkinhead class via experimentation on young males and crops. After suffering defeat at the hands of the Zenobian Revolution, she joined the Revolution. Her traveling shop has been sighted on the islands of Valeria and Ovis. She joined forces with Denim Mown in Valeria after he became a frequent customer at her shop. Also took time off from her work to host Ogre Battle 64’s Tutorial Mode. Her true age is unknown, as she keeps her appearance young with magic.

[edit] Rashidi

The Sage of Zeteginia. The father of Mari, and former best friend of King Gran Zenobia. One of the "Five Heroes" who saved the continent. Afterwards, became an advisor to Empress Endora. Was the greatest wizard on the continent, and trained three apprentices: Kapella, Albeleo, and Saradin. Assassinated Gran during Endora's campaign to conquer Zeteginia. Visited Palatinus to advise King Procus, and to observe Prince Yumil. Became romantically involved with the Archangel Mizar, and used her to gain possession of the 13th Zodiac Stone, the Black Diamond. Wanted to use the Diamond as part of a ritual to summon Demundza, the King of the Netherworld. Destin and the Zenobian Revolution interrupted the ritual, but Rashidi sacrificed himself to complete the ritual. Demundza was beaten back into the netherworld. Because of his last words, some wondered if Rashidi had planned this from the start. One year later, Mari became romantically involved with Prince Yumil, and became pregnant with his child. Mari was killed when Danika was resurrected. Danika later referred to Rashidi as "the creator of chaos", the one who would start the next Ogre Battle. As Kerikov was attempting to flee Palatinus to give Lodis secret information, he passed by Mari's corpse. An infant crawled out, and Kerikov burst into dark flame. Rashidi, who had been using Mari as a vessel for his soul, had reincarnated for a forth time, this time in the body of a God.)
