  • -Olympic Replacement: During the 1988 season, in order to fulfill Olympic obligations, NBC brought in legendary announcers to fill in for the regular play-by-play men, while they were covering the Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Replacement announcers during the Olympic period included Ray Scott and Merle Harmon.
