List of My-Otome episodes

This article is about episodes of the anime My-Otome. There are 26 episodes that aired on TV and there will be a 4-episode OVA, My-Otome Zwei, released later in 2006 and 2007 that will continue the storyline. The first episode was released on 24 November 2006 and the second episode was released on 23 February 2007. The third episode will be released on 25 May 2007.[1]
Like My-HiME, My-Otome also has several short specials included with each DVD release that provide supplementary information about the show, which not all of them are to be considered canon for the series. A total of nine omake were produced, and they include the following shorts:
- A faux trailer for a My-HiME movie (The Great Battle of Fuka)
- A special focusing on Haruka's character (This Week's Armitage)
- One featuring several of the female cast at a lingerie party (Juliet's Conspiracy)
- Another that recounts Shiho's Maki Maki ordeal during an excursion in Aries (Shiho Spirals)
- The next one features Akane in the lead on failed attempts to consummate her relationship with Kazu (By the Red Sky)
- Following, another short focusing on Erstin spending her last night in company of both Arika and Nina (Erstin Ho's last smile)
- The seventh special casts the spotlight on cat Mikoto, defending Arika from the Aswad Knights (In the village of the Aswad)
- The eighth short centers around Mai explaining her whereabouts after she graduated. (The legend of the Fire String Ruby)
- The last omake pits the cast of My-Otome against their My-HiME counterparts. (My-乙HiME VS My-HiME)

Arika's studentship is put in jeopardy right after the beginning, as her lost uniform shows up in a store of questionable reputation. While helping with the reconstruction of the royal palace, Arika comes to hear a rumour questioning Mashiro's right to the throne of Windbloom. Several coincidences occur with Mashiro, Arika and Nina's birthdays all in the same day. Nina accidentally loses a precious pocket watch, which she received from Sergay, and goes to search for it with Arika. Meanwhile, Mashiro decides to run away again, instead of meeting with royal guests from a neighbouring country. To avoid an international conflict, Windbloom has to come up with a hasty substitute. | ||||

Arika has to impersonate the missing Mashiro and meet the foreign prince Takumi, who is in fact Akira, the real prince's guardian. Nina then pretends to be Arika, and watches over her friend's performance. Meanwhile Mashiro, going by the name of Nina, has met the real Prince Takumi (who tells his name to be Akira) in the slums of the Windbloom capital. After many confusing turns, Mashiro slowly begins to realize how things really are in the country she's supposed to rule. | ||||

Uncharacteristically depressed Arika realizes she has developed feelings for Sergay, and is having hard time trying to choose between the fate of an Otome and finding a love of her life: both she cannot have. For saving the refugees of Windbloom by taking them temporarily into the Aswad village, the people recognize Mashiro now as their rightful queen. However, in the Windbloom capital, Nagi discovers that the true heir to the throne might actually be Nina. With the warriors of Aswad heading to Cardair for vengeance because of the assault made into their homes, Sergay forms a plan to capture Mashiro with the assistance of the Valkyrie unit. | ||||

Aswad extracts vengeance against Cardair by killing off their Meister Otome, and the king Argos XIV along with her. But back at the capital, Nagi has other plans, as he has Nina activate the true power of the Harmonium under the castle. | ||||

Attempting to save the fatally wounded Sergay, Nina is forced to operate the Harmonium once more. Meanwhile, the operation Liberate Windbloom is put into full action, as the heroes face off with the enemy forces, each team on their own. And according to the plan to give the Otomes back their powers, Arika has to meet her late mother for one last time. However, in the end it appears Nagi is again one step ahead of everyone. | ||||

The tide begins to turn, as Miyu saves the day by activating an ancient device underwater, which sets the Otome free from their contracts, enabling everyone to regain their robes. As they all join forces together to best the power of the Harmonium and capture Nagi, the rest is in Arika's hands to confront Nina and rescue the city. |
