[edit] Pilot: 1991
The pilot was transmitted as part of Comic Asides, a series of pilots. It was filmed at Pebble Mill Studios in Birmingham, with exterior scenes nearby. The pilot is almost identical in plot, script and structure to episode one of the proper series. John Kilby directed the pilot. However, some of the footage would be reused episode one.[1]
