The Jats have produced famous personalities in all the field of life such as Rajas, Politicians, Generals, Administrators, scientists, intellectuals, Actors, Freedom fighters, Reformers, Technocrats, Players, Industrialists and Businessmen.   • Bhai Bala (Sandhu Jat) - the first follower and constant companion of Guru Nanak (1st Guru of Sikhism) and one of the most revered and sacred saints in Sikhism.[41]
  • Baba Buddha (Randhawa Jat) - was one of closest companions of the guru Nanak (the first Guru of Sikhism) and is one of the most revered and sacred saints in Sikhism.[42]
  • Baba Deep Singh (Sandhu Jat) - the most sacred martyr and saint in Sikhism[43]
  • Mai Bhago (Dhillon Jat) - came to aid, fight and die for Guru Gobind Singh (10th Guru of Sikhism) on hearing the 40 Sikhs had abandoned the Guru at Anandpur Sahib fort [44]
  • Lord Krishna was a Jat. He is seen as the Supreme Person and the highest God in Hinduism.[45]
  • Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale (Brar Jat) - Controversial Sikh leader of the twentieth century

Recipients of the Nishan-E-Haider - (Sign/Order of the Lion), the highest Gallantry award given by Pakistan. It is awarded to select soldiers who display an incredible amount of valor and courage on the battle field in the face of staunch adversity. Only ten of these prestigious awards have ever been served, one of them being Jatt, despite Pakistan been involved in three wars (Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and a major conflict in Kargil.

It is the most difficult Award to be achieved.
