While staying late one day at school, Shirō inadvertently witnesses a fight between Archer and Lancer and is promptly killed by Lancer, though is brought back to life by Rin shortly after. When Lancer comes back to kill him again, Shirō summons the most powerful servant - Saber. | ||||

When Berserker and his Master attack Saber, Shirō is not able to do much of anything, but ends up taking a fatal blow for Saber in the end. The next day, Shirō has miraculously healed himself and starts to understand a bit more about what kind of person Saber is. | ||||

Feeling guilty about how he's been treating Saber, Shirō introduces her to Sakura and Taiga Fujimura during dinner. Afterwards at school, Rin unexpectedly attacks Shirō while Saber is still at his house. | ||||

During his fight with Rin, Shirō is distracted by a scream downstairs to find an unconscious girl. Rin attempts to heal her, but in the process a dagger flies through an open door, but Shirō blocks it with his arm. Shirō runs outside to find the Servant Rider who nearly kills him, but Rin saves him in the end. Back at Rin's home, Shirō and Rin form a temporary truce to find Rider's Master. | ||||

After discovering that Shirō can detect magical spells related to the force field at school, he and Rin set out to destroy most of them. However, at the end of the day, Shirō discovers in the dojo at school a very large magical seal and finally finds out who Rider's Master is. | ||||

After declining Shinji's offer to team up, Shirō informs Rin and Saber about a witch at the local shrine who's also a Master. After this, Rin decides to officially move in with Shirō for the time being. Meanwhile, Shirō and Saber still can't meet eye to eye. | ||||

Shirō has his first training session with Saber but still can't fair well against her in battle. That same day, Shirō meets Ilya in town and they have a small talk in the park. Once back at home, Rin gets Shirō to swallow a jewel which switches on his power to use magic. | ||||

While Saber is still weak, Shirō gets captured by Ilya who gives him the proposition to become her servant, which he refuses. After Saber wakes up, she, Rin and Archer go looking for Shirō. | ||||

In order to replenish Saber's mana, Shirō must give a part of his magical circuit to Saber. After the transfer, Ilya and Berserker come back for a final match to the death. | ||||

With mass comas now occuring within the city, Shirō and the others decide to go after the Master and Servents at the Ryudōji shrine. After confirming that Kuzuki, one of Shirō's teachers, is Caster's Master, Sakura is taken captive by Caster to serve as a sacrifice in order to summon the Holy Grail. | ||||

After going to Kirei's church, Shirō is captured and nearly killed, but Saber comes in time and heals his wounds. Lancer has one last battle with Gilgamesh which ends in Lancer's death. | ||||

After Ilya is taken by Kirei, Shirō and Saber head to the Ryudōji shrine in order to defeat him. Saber fights with Gilgamesh while Shirō goes after Kirei. | ||||

- The Copenhagen Bar, a store from Fate/hollow ataraxia, is featured during a scene in episode one of the Fate/stay night anime.
- In episode one of the anime series, 'TYPE-MOON' appears on the VCR Shiro was working on the previous night.
- In episode eight of the anime, the cat ears Rin wore as a magical girl in Fate/hollow ataraxia are seen on her desk.
- The theme heard during Shirō's battle with Berserker in episode sixteen of the anime is a remix of the "Emiya" theme from the game.
- As seen in episode seventeen, the news program that services Fuyuki City is called FSN NEWS, an acronym for Fate/stay night.
- Zōken Matō, a character exclusive to Heaven's Feel, appears in a limousine during episode eighteen.
