List of Dragons in Dragon Booster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following section will explain each of the fictional dragons featured in the Canadian animated series Dragon Booster. This also includes dragons from which are not common within the show, as you may see them only in a few episodes. This section will provide a general overview of each particular dragon, as well as get into more specifics later on. Along with the information concerning the various dragons in Dragon Booster, it will also discuss various types of gears from which the various dragons can use (if applicable to that particular dragon). Also this section explains each dragon's personality traits and bonds with their riders.

[edit] Common Dragons of the Series

[edit] Beau The Dragon of Legend

Being the dragon of legend, Beau is the most powerful dragon in all of Dragon City and is given immense respect. He is a magnificent dragon and his power knows no bounds. To ride Beau you must show great talent, good skills, moral fibre, bravery and courage. If any of those talents are not present, then Beau will reject you. His rider is Artha Penn.

Beau is a dragon with a bone color of gold draconium. He can mag all draconium gear, can control all draconium energies, can take on many forms, and can use other draconium energies to make himself more powerful. Beau has a very good sense of humor, tripping and mag-blasting humans and other riders into the air, he often laughs at his little jokes, along with everyone else. And has Lance’s addiction to candy and food. He tends to be sarcastic in his own little way, and is skilled with almost anything. He was once influenced by wraith gear, liquid black draconium, the Furox, and was turned into a wraith again when Artha was controlled by human wraith gear.

Beau has many powers, like wings, a Mag Shield, being able to "fuse" with Dragon Booster (seen in episode 10 "The Lost Track of Doom" only once.)and many others.

Beau can be described as a black dragon with gold designs and fins. He can also disguise himself as a blue dragon with a red underbelly and light electric blue stripes, and is reminiscent of a cobra and a panther. Beau runs on four legs, as most of the Dragon City dragons do. His full name "Beaucephalis" is based off of the name Bucephalus, which was the name of Alexander the Great's horse. Image

Moordryd once rode Beau in episode 11 "Pride of the Hero". It was then that Moordryd planted the Furox bonemark in Beau. Beau absorbed it later on.

[edit] Wyldfyr

A Magma-class red draconium dragon, Wyldfyr is built for speed and her human is the tough and spirited Kitt Wonn. Wyldfyr is loyal to her team and her rider, and has a personality and temper similar to Kitt's. She often works with Red Thruster Gear and is quick on the racing tracks. She is also well known for her speed and agility. She excels in sprinting, maneuverability, and intensity.

Wyldfyr is red in color with white spikes on her tail, a streamlined saurian body and large facial spikes. Like most Magma-class dragons, she stands on two legs. Since she leans forward, a large amount of her body mass is toward her flanks, to balance her while walking, running, etc. Her name is a play on the word Wildfire, which is a quickly-spreading fire.

Note: Article seems to be in a battle of editing. Wyldfyr is stated by Kitt in episode 29, "Good Boy Wyldfyr!" which means that this dragon is infact male. The issue of his gender is arising from the "Ultimate Scrap book". But just be known, books such as these are often wrong in many things due to that they are not made by the creators (take the profile books for Full Metal Alchemist for example, which said a male -human- character was female).

[edit] Cyrano

Cyrano is a large, Bull-class green draconium dragon. Cyrano is not a dragon that is built for racing, due to overly large muscles, but is rather built for brute strength and demolition. His human is the technical Parmon Sean. Cyrano seems more calm and less smart than Parm, however, if he starts getting angry, in short: get out of the way. He uses Green Ramming Gear most of the time to add more strength to his demolition skills. Cyrano was also once under the control of the Samurox, and had to absorb blue draconium gear to stabilize the difference between the blue draconium influence and his own green draconium energy. (More on the Samurox below.)

Cyrano is green and has four big, brown hooves, a huge nose, and large shoulders. He is a common heavyweight Bull-class dragon, standing on four legs.

Image

[edit] Decepshun

A Psi-class pure black draconium dragon, (she was changed in "Darkness Falls") Decepshun is a dragon to be reckoned with. Her human is Moordryd Paynn, leader of the Dragon Eyes.

Decepshun is fiercely loyal to her crew and her master. She is treated quite kindly by Moordryd, and thus, both have become close as dragon and rider. Decepshun is known to have Green Ramming Gear, White Rappelling Gear and often Black Shadow Gear equipped. At times she can be very feisty, and when Moordryd’s in trouble, will do even the most unpredictable of things to help him out. She is intelligent, quick and powerful, and knows martial arts and Psi.

Decepshun is a slim, dark purple dragon with a lavender purple underbelly and accentuated lips. Like most Dragon City dragons, she stands on four legs. Her name is a play on the word Deception which means evil or mistrust.

Recently due to an accident in "Darkness Falls" with one of Word Paynn's black draconium devices to turn dragon eggs into pure black draconium dragons, Decepshun was mutated to gain the ability to transform into a pure black dragon, in this form she becomes black with glowing purple designs and gains fins on the back of her legs and tail similar to Beau. When Moordryd becomes the Shadow Booster, Decepshun's ability to transform into this pure black state becomes easier to control. But in "The Eye of the Dragon" she has developed a complete mind of her own, not completely obeying her master. She may not follow his orders directly from Moordryd, which may be a problem in future episodes.

[edit] Fracshun

Fracshun is a young blue draconium Energy-class dragon. His human is Lance Penn, little brother of Artha Penn. Fracshun has similar personality traits to Lance. He is young and energetic, and is loyal to Lance and Penn Racing. Fracshun shares a brotherly bond with Beau as well, and encourages his teammates when they’re in doubt. He works together with his team and will protect Lance when there is any trouble.

Fracshun possesses the same “cute-ness” as Lance does, and is a small blue and orange-colored dragon, also having a cartoon-style dragon tattooed on the side of his hide. He also stands on four legs. His name is a play on the word Fraction, an algabraic term which is a piece of something.

Image

[edit] Coershun

Coershun is a Psi-class black draconium dragon who should not be taken lightly. His human is Cain, co-leader of the Dragon Eyes. Coershun is similar to his rider. He is just as strong and brute as Cain, but also is very timid. He uses intimidation, and is skilled in Psi, martial arts, agility and communication.

Coershun has a less skinnier frame than Decepshun does, and has a more elaborate purple and gray design to him. He also walks on four legs. His name is a play on the word Coercion which means to persuade with evil intent.

Image: Coershun

[edit] Other Dragons

[edit] Phorrj

Phorrj is a Magma-class red draconium dragon and is specialized with fire and heat. His human is Pyrrah, leader of the Dragon Flares crew. Phorrj is difficult to control. He is loyal to Pyrrah, the Dragon Flares, and Pyrrah’s intentions. Phorrj is not as fast and skilled with sprinting as Wyldfyr, but he is skilled at jumping. Phorrj was once possessed by the essence of the Furox, but Beau fought the controlled Phorrj and Pyrrah and removed the Furox bonemark. (More on the Furox below.)

Phorrj has an elaborate red and orange design, with white claws and large facial spikes. He is bipedal and the largest red dragon we've seen so far. His name is a play on the word forge, where the blacksmith made weapons by super heating metal

Image:Phorrj

[edit] Brutaris

Brutaris is a large green draconium Bull-class dragon who belongs to Phistus, leader of the Grip of the Dragon and the Council of Twelve. Brutaris is considered a rather ugly beast, but like Phistus, he is very strong of body and heart. He is loyal to those who work and fight for peace. He is specialized in using the green ramming gear. Brutaris was once transformed into a chromatic dragon by Word Paynn, with the help of an artificial prism bonemark.

Brutaris has a slightly similar design to Cyrano, except his hide is a lighter green with red and green stripes, armor, hooves and ram-like horns. His name is possibly a play on the word Brutish which means tough.

Image:Brutaris

[edit] Shock-Ra

Shock-Ra is the blue draconium Energy-class dragon that belongs to the close minded Khatah, the leader of the Inner Order Crew. Shock-Ra is loyal at heart and strong of mind, like his human, Khatah, and is very well disciplined in the martial arts. He is swift on his feet and is skilled at jumping. When he senses trouble, he tends to stop what he’s doing and focus on what’s happening around him.

Shock-Ra stands on four legs and has a sleek blue, indigo and orange design. His name is probably a play on the word Chakra which is another name for Chi or spiritual energy.

Image:Shock-Ra

[edit] Gunny

Gunny is a Scavenger-class light green draconium dragon. His human is Stewardd, the leader of the Keepers Crew.

Not much is known about Gunny and his personality since has not appeared in an episode yet.

Gunny is bipedal dragon with a light green design. He is a very small dragon to suit his small rider, Stewardd. He also has long but small ears like a mouse's.

[edit] Propheci

The real leader of the Prophets Crew is the deceptive Propheci. Propheci is labyrinthine and insincere, and his human was Reepyr, human leader of the Prophets.

Though his words are harsh and devious, Propheci can be rather wise. He is a black-hearted dragon and wanted the Dragon Booster destroyed to prevent humans from controlling the dragons. Propheci is known to be extremely untrustworthy. After Artha proved that humans and dragons can work together, he decided that he didn’t want to lose the control that his dragons had, and thus imprisoned Reepyr and his kin's riders in ancient metal prisons within the lost Track of Doom. However, with the help of the Dragon Booster, Reepyr escaped and caused the Track of Doom to become unstable, sealing them in. At one time, Propheci controlled Mortis, and used him to attack Artha. In 'When Opposites Attract' Propheci took control of Stewardd.

Propheci is bipedal dragon with a blue and orange design and a visible brain, similar in appearance to a T-Rex or an Allosaurus. His name is a play-on of the word prophecy which is an omen.

Image:Propheci

[edit] Rumbull

Rumbull (otherwise known as Aftershock) is an Earth-class brown draconium dragon. His human is Kawake, the leader of the Will of the Dragon crew. Rumbull is one of the largest dragons besides Abandonn and Tyrannis Pax. He is built for excavation work and he and Kawake were once Dragball Champions, but now he carries Kawake when Kawake does not use his wheelchair

Rumbull is yet another dragon that has a similar build to that of a Bull-class dragons (specifically Cyrano), but unfortunately he is an earth-class dragon, he has a brown design with a blue chin, and walks on four legs. His name is an obvious play on the word Rumble which is similar to a quake.

[edit] Hyve

Hyve is the dragon belonging to Army of the Dragon leader Wulph. Hyve is a purple draconium Pack-class dragon and, like Wyldfyr, is bipedal. Hyve is a speedy dragon who usually has Purple Energy Drain Whips equipped with him and Wulph. When teamed with the other purple dragons in the Army of the Dragon, he can be very strong. Wulph is the only person that he trusts with complete confidence.

Hyve is a bipedal dragon with a purple design and wolf-like appearance. He also has a scar on his right eye. His name is possibly a play on the word Hive which is a bees nest.

Image:Hyve

[edit] Swavvy

Swavvy is a Sonic-class turquoise draconium dragon. His human is Vociferous, the leader of the Voice of the Dragon crew. Though Swavvy and Vociferous seem to work together as one, he could probably be better off with a more experienced rider than having Vociferous get his energy to drain quickly because of clumsiness. Still, Swavvy is loyal to his crew and his rider.

Swavvy, believe it or not, is NOT the large bull-class-like dragon Vociferous used in episode 20 "Artha the Drac". He is a dragon with a dark turquoise color and a body similar to that of the Nautilus class dargons. (ex:The Dragon Fish's dragons.) He walks on four legs. His name is a play on the word suave which means sophisticated. You can see him in the episodes "The Derelicts", during the fight scene, and "Cain's Mutiny", during the time where Shadow Booster attacks the Down City crews.

[edit] Poseidos

Poseidos is a light blue draconium Nautilus-class dragon. His human is Marianis, the leader of the Dragon Fish Crew. Poseidos is a loyal dragon who like his rider serves to help the Dragon Booster. It is assumed Poseidos is an excellent swimmer and prefers the water to land. It is unknown if Poseidos is male or female.

Poseidos stands on four legs and has a sleek light blue design, very similar to that of Energy Class Dragons, specifically Shock-Ra. His name is a play on the name Poseidon which is the Greek god of the sea.

[edit] Turbulance

Turbulance is a white draconium Sky-class dragon. His human is Chute, the leader of the Dragon Winds Crew.

Turbulance like his rider loves adventure and excitement and is known for his death defying stunts. Turbulance is not Chute's first dragon, her first dragon was Twystyr and it is unknown what happened to him.

Turbulance can stand on two legs, but runs on four and he has an aero-dynamic white design with blue and yellow, his head has a thin horns one coming up from the nose and one pointing down from the chin to make him more dynamic, he also has a large fin at the end of his tail. His name is a play on the word Turbulance which is the shaking motion sometimes experienced on a plane flight. He is a loyal and sweet dragon, but he can be a bully at times and the horns on his head are powerful weapons.

[edit] Abandonn

Abandonn is Word Paynn's powerful Black draconium Psi-class dragon. We have only seen him in his entirety in the episodes, "All Is Not Lost" and maybe even in "The Return of The Drakkus-2" because Drakkus is suspected to be Word Paynn.

He is immense to behold and has a tiger style Deep Violet and Orange coloring which changes to magenta and turquoise in his mutant form, two long horns projecting Triceratops-style from his head, and sinister glowing eyes.

There is no doubt that he is a powerful foe that Dragon Booster will have to contend with at some point or another. If Word Paynn turns out to be Drakkus then Abandonn is Drakkus's dragon as well.

His name is a play on the word Abandon which means to leave behind, or Abandon as in 'abandon all hope'.

Abandon's shape has lead fans to believe that there is two breeds of black dragons.

[edit] Tyrannis Pax

The gold-boned dragon that belongs to Mortis. Tyrannis Paxx is not the dragon of legend, just a regular gold-boned dragon, called a "Star Dragon". Tyrannis Paxx is very large, as is Drakkus and Word Paynn's dragon, Abandonn.

It has been said that he is immensely powerful and even more so when working in tandem with Mortis. Thus far, he has been glimpsed in The Return Of Drakkus-Part One, and is fully revealed in Part 2.

He bears resemblance to the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex- the resemblance is most likely intentional. Tyrannis Pax appears to be an ancient sort of dragon, a relic from the times of the Dragon Priests. He is immensely powerful and rather intelligent. He has an extra pair of hidden, extendable arms.

His name is actually derived from Latin and when translated means "Peaceful Tyrant" or "Tyrant of Peace".

[edit] Wraith Dragons

Wraith dragons are under the control of a type of black draconium gear, and have invisibility gear on them. Wraith dragons are more of victims to Word than villains, as they are dragons stolen and controlled to do what Word wants them to do. They can turn invisible and the best types are the swift and stealthy. Word sometimes uses these for spying and traps, but occasionally provides several for Moordryd whenever necessary.

These dragons actually are very intelligent and they closely resemble Velociraptors. They are jet black with neon yellow eyes. They emit loud high pitched screeches when frightened or when sent to do orders from Word. They are also very fast and difficult to attack unless the dragons themselves are outnumbered.

One time, in episode 8 "Three Times a Hero", it is shown that Word was spying on Dragon Booster and Kitt Wonn using a Bull-Class Wraith Dragon. Rarely anymore Bull-Class wraiths have been used possibly because they aren't as stealthy as 2-legged and skinny 4-legged dragons.

[edit] Hydrags

Hydrags are large, teal, serpent-like dragons with yellow eyes. They usually live in dark, empty places, or underground in unstable places, and only come out when a victim is in their sight. Hydrags will shoot out from their hiding place, devouring their victims or biting them to bits, then returning to their original hiding place as quickly as they came up. They are very dangerous and are mostly seen (probably unwillingly) around deserted areas.

These serpent-like dragons unlike most, have little but some loyalty to Beau, nor can they be controlled due to being wild creatures.

[edit] The Muhorta

A large and dangerous vampire dragon that hides in a cave somewhere in the City of Loane (Old City). The Muhorta was a part of the original dragon-human war, and works parallel to an energy draining whip, draining the energy out of helpless dragons and humans. Like a Hydrag, it stays in hiding until it spots a victim, then tentacles snap out at any unfortunate passers-by.

This horrid beast was thought to have the body of a Bull-Class Dragon but with clawed feet instead of hooves. This dragon is currently the only one of its kind and like the Hydrags, shows no loyalty towards Beau. This dragon sees by infrared vision and can be fooled by invisibility gear.

[edit] Libris, the gray bone dragon

Libris is believed to be the last living dragon composed of gray draconium, and can only be summoned by the Horn of Libris trophy, once kept safe in Dragon City Security. Libris can use your own Draconium energy against you, making it a threat if unstable. According to Rivett in "The Mechanist", Libris was his dragon, and Libris is not the only gray dragon out there. Rivett now plans to summon Libris again with the Horn in his custody. He seems to have a kind attitude, and is said to have helped the Dragon Booster in the last Dragon-Human war.

Libris resembles a gigantic, living dragon skeleton. It is the only dragon that looks like this. His name is probably derived from the Latin word for "book".

[edit] Chromatic Dragon

This is one of Word Paynn's many twisted creations, and not a true bonemark dragon. Word creates an artificial prism bonemark, which he places on Brutaris, fusing the power of all of the bone colors with him. Brutaris was transformed into a gigantic, mutated creature that shifted colors and was rather distorted, with its right foot still keeping shape of a hoof and its left foot being clawed. Artha and Beau still managed to shatter the bonemark and save Brutaris, making it impossible for Word to create another artificial gold dragon.

The Chromatic Dragon was made by the help of all the best dragons in every color, excluding the gray dragon, Libris. How Word managed to get his hands on Propheci is unknown...

This twisted, fiendish creature is a very powerful one since it possessed all the draconium colors it cannot be defeated by physical means. The only way to defeat this creature is to shatter the bone-mark upon its head.

[edit] The Furox

Furox is the dragon spirit hidden within the red draconium bonemark. The Furox bonemark is shaped like a spurt of flame and is ironically the Dragon Flares crew insignia. The Furox is the dragon of war and once the Bonemark is placed upon a dragon, the full ferocity of the Furox shows through by enhancing the victims into a beast with red eyes and golden-orange spikes.

The Furox first controlled Pyrrah and Phorrj, but thanks to Beau was thrown off. Moordryd, however, was in the citadel containing the bonemark, and seized it with his own desires. After Artha as the Dragon Booster dared Moordryd to ride Beau, Moordryd places it upon Beau, and both were victims to the Furox's control. The Furox was later absorbed by Beau after he was released by its influence.

[edit] The Samurox

Samurox is the dragon spirit hidden within the blue draconium bonemark. The Samurox bonemark is shaped like a lightning bolt and resembles the symbol of the Inner Order. The Samurox is the king of the fighter dragons, and there is a map made of blue draconium that leads the influenced victim to it. When the bonemark is placed upon a dragon, the desire to rule overcomes the victim and morphs the dragon and the rider with a blue and white design and orbs of white for eyes.

When the spirit of the Samurox is fully released, the Samurox dragon has a horrible, wailing cry which it uses to command blue draconium dragons. Khatah's dragons, however, were not effected by this, since Khatah had his dragons highly trained and disciplined.

The Samurox first called to Khatah and Shock-Ra, but thanks to Parmon and Cyrano the map was thrown off, however, Parm was influenced by it, and found the location of the Samurox bonemark, claiming it and placing it on Cyrano. Cyrano had to absorb some blue gear to fully become Samurox, and called the blue dragons to an army. Khatah’s Inner Order dragons and Beau displaced the bonemark from Cyrano, and it fell down to the realm of the Hydrags, and apparently, cannot be recovered...

[edit] The Vysox

Vysox is the dragon spirit hidden within the black draconium bonemark. The Vysox bonemark is shaped like an eye and resembles the symbol of the Eye of the Dragon crew. The Vysox also has the spirit of Armeggaddon's dragon that he used during the original dragon-human war and is extremely powerful.

Moordryd Paynn was the only one to find the Vysox, and immediately put the bonemark on his dragon, Decepshun, who absorbed it. She now changes into the Vysox whenever Moordryd transforms into the Shadow Booster.

[edit] Dark Beau

Dark Beau has three forms: one in “The Stand”, another in “Broken Bonds” and the third in “The Wraith Booster”. The first form has Beau turning into a simple wraith dragon, in which Artha calls to Beau to break the gear’s influence.

The second form has Beau twisted into a merciless beast because of liquid black draconium, making his gold markings fade and his eyes turn fuschia and his gold markings purple. Artha also calls to him and makes him drink liquid gold draconium to heal him.

The third form is just as similar as the second, but instead Artha is also turned into a wraith, both of their gold markings and color designs fade into black, and Beau’s eyes turn red. For this, Moordryd rebels against his father and breaks off the wraith gear from Artha, releasing them from the black draconium influence.

[edit] Pure Black Draconium Dragons

These dragons were seen in "Darkness Falls". Embryonic dragons still in their shells were turned from red to black by a strange pod that was made by Word. The destructive and violent dragons were tested on the Penn Racing Crew, but Parmon used the same item with some modifications to change the dragons back to their original colors (red).

At the end of the episode, Decepshun was mutated by the radiation pod. When she bent down to inspect the pod, it exploded, releasing the energy upon her, thus she was transformed into a pure black draconium dragon that can shift from her normal appearance to her mutated appearance (like Beau). Once Decepshun's rider Moordryd found the gauntlet that fits his amulet, Decepshun was more easily able to transform to her pure black state, like Beau transforms from blue to black and gold.

8 Pure black dragons were seen again in episode 38, "Battle for the Ages", when Armeggadon fought Mortis and Drakkus.

[edit] Miscellaneous Creatures

[edit] Yellow-belly newts

Yellow-belly newts are miscellaneous to Dragon City dragons, and are instead what they are clearly called: yellow-belly newts. Their color features are yellow and blue, with a long, blue tongue and a leaf-shaped tail. (It seems as though Cain has a phobia to these critters, and if not, perhaps their shadows.)

[edit] Crow-Drags

Crow-Drags are a type of flying creature, also miscellaneous to Dragon City dragons. They resemble crows and, like many birds, are attracted to shiny objects. This is proven in "Darkness Falls", when a Crow-drag steals the gold star amulet. Luckily, Lance goes on a quest to retrieve it, and gave it back to Artha, just right before a massive black dragon onslaught.

[edit] Tracking Dragons

Tracking dragons are purple and green insectile dragons with wings like a dragonfly's. Extremely compact, they can be carried around in palm-sized pods and released to follow unsuspecting dragons/riders. Their large eyes feed back to the pod, enabling the owner to see their quarry. They are mostly used by the Army of the Dragon Down City Crew, although Moordryd and Parmon also employ them at various points.

[edit] Dragon Gear

There are all kinds of gear for dragons to use in battle, competition, and races. The basic gear colors are as follows:

(Take note that some of this gear has not yet been seen in the show, only on the main page at www.dragonbooster.com)

[edit] Red

Red gear is sleek, rounded, and has lots of texture for channelling and holding heat. Red draconium gear, because of its natural ability to store and release heat, makes for excellent quick use, advantage gear. Also, because of this heated quality, red draconium gear can store heat to repair broken gear of all colours. Gear: Speed Burst, Forging Gear, Fire Grenades, Repair Gear, Heatwave Gear, Fireball Gear

[edit] Orange

There are only two known types of Orange gear: a Drag Box, which sends out small dragons to eat opponents gear, and Snaring Gear, that can trap humans for the Prophets devious plots. This gear is used almost solely by the Prophets Crew. Gear: Orange Drag Box

[edit] Black

Black gear is sleek, dangerous and sharp-looking. Black draconium gear, because its energy charge, is mostly used for gear that enhances mind connection, controlling by guidance and intimidation, and also help with the mental aspects of stealth and speed. Gear: Psi Assist, Overload Pod, Shadow Gear, Control Gear, Psi Gear, Mind Control Pod, and the new, though lost, Neural Gear, Disrupter Flash, Disrupter Blackout.

[edit] Blue

Blue gear is fluid, artful and ornate. These martial artists of the dragon world (The Inner Order) are all about speed and balance and so is their gear. Blue draconium gear for both rider and dragon is mostly used to enhance the natural abilities of both rather than to add to any specific power. Gear: Speed Gear, Dragon Star Gear, Balance Gear, Absorption Armour, Turning Gear.

[edit] White

White gear is used for dealing with heights. There is Aero Gear and Rappel gear which is much like rock climbing gear used today. This gear is white and shiny. There is also Sledding gear which attaches to the dragon's paws like skis. This was first shown in "Leap Of Lorius". Gear: Aero, Rappel

[edit] Light Blue

Light Blue gear is very fish-like. There is Tentacle Gear, Water gear, Coral gear (given to the Dragon Booster in "Still Waters Freeze" by Marianis) and other gear made for swimming and water related things. Gear: Tentacle, Coral

[edit] Green

Green gear is bulky, with lots of contact surface and leverage points. Green gear is all about the enhancement and assisting of force. Wrestling, grappling, ramming and towing is what these mighty dragons and gear are used for. Gear: Ramming Gear, Tail Hammer, Trapping Gear, Towing Gear, Mag Cannon

[edit] Light Green

Light Green is used for evasion and getaways. Gear: Smoke Bomb, Evasion Gear, Deflection Gear.

[edit] Purple

Purple gear is small, spiky, and loosely form-fitting. Used for hunting and tracking, purple dragon gear is designed for herding, teaming, tricking and following. This gear is especially useful to help smaller, weaker dragons team with others in group races and deceive competitors. Gear: Marking Gear, Glue Gear, Tracking Gear, Trapping Gear, Mag Cells

[edit] Brown

Brown gear is thick, angled and sharp. Primarily used for tunnelling, construction and demolishing, brown draconium gear runs the gamut from tearing things down and moving through terrain to make strong foundations and holding ground. Gear: Battle Armour, Entrenching Gear, Bashing Gear, All-Terrain Gear, Excavation Gear

[edit] Turquoise

There seems to be only two types of turquoise gear shown in the dragon booster series. The two gears primary functions are blinding. Gear:Blinding Gear,Blinding Staff
