List of Church of Ireland dioceses

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page is a List of Church of Ireland Dioceses. The Church of Ireland's diocesan system is based on the 900-year-old boundaries drawn set up by a series of mediaeval conferences, notably the Synod of Rathbreasail and the Synod of Kells-Mellifont. However, over the centuries numerous dioceses have merged, especially in the last few centuries of declining membership, and the four previous provinces consolidated into two.
