  • 17th, Yuan Baojing, multi-millionaire sentenced to death for ordering a contract-killing against a man who tried to blackmail him.
  • 20th, Pan Mingquan, sentenced to death as part of a 5-member gang that trafficked children to avoid the one-child policy.[1]
  • 20th, Wu Daping, sentenced to death as part of a 5-member gang that trafficked children to avoid the one-child policy.[2]
  • 24th, Lin Yud, 49, executed by gunshot in Fujian, she was part of a 5-member gang that trafficked children to avoid the one-child policy.[3]

  • 25th, Jia Qingyou was executed in Shandong, after taking a primary school class hostage, slashing 25 children with a large knife.[4]

  • 4th, Wan Ruizhong was executed for abuse of power, after accepting bribes and covering up mismangement of a disaster at a tin mine that killed 81 people.[15]
