Lisbon Recognition Convention

The Lisbon Recognition Convention is an international convention for the Europe area of UNESCO. It stipulates that degrees and periods of study must be recognised unless substantial differences can be proved by the institution that is charged with recognition. It is named after Lisbon, the city where it was signed and capital of Portugal.
Students and graduates are also guaranteed fair procedures.
