Lisa's Birthday Tape

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lisa's Birthday Tape is a hastily written and recorded release by Saves the Day. Lisa Nishimura, for whom the tape was written, lived at Equal Vision Records with Kate 08 (of Project Kate and 108) and Steve Reddy. Frontman Chris Conley was invited by Kate from Equal Vision to play at Lisa's 2000 birthday barbeque. Conley said yes, but decided that he didn't want to go. Instead of ditching Lisa totally, he recorded her a demo. Former guitarist Ted Alexander delivered the album to her. The demo had been forgotten by even Chris Conley until recently, and has now been leaked onto the internet.
