[edit] History
"Liquid" Todd Wilkinson started his radio career as an intern at WDRE on Long Island. His first full-time job was at Channel Z (WCHZ-FM) in Augusta, Georgia in 1992 where he served at Production Director for less than a year before moving up to Boston to take over the same job at 101.7 WFNX. At WFNX, DJ Todd became Liquid Todd and launched "Spin Cycle" a show that is still on the air. Todd was promoted from Production Director to Assistant Program Director and was serving as the station's Acting Program Director when he left in early 1997.
On April 7, 1997 Liquid Todd launched "Solid State" on K-Rock which became internationally known as a trailblazing radio show featuring many forms of electronic music. In 2002 Todd won the award for "Best Radio DJ" at the Dancestar American Dance Music Awards in Miami - an award he was nominated for every year the awards have been held. His second DJ mix CD, "Solid State" (2002) was also nominated for "Best Compilation" in the Dancestar World Dance Music Awards in London.
In May 2005 Todd and co-host Steve "El" Covino launched the successor to "Solid State" when "Altered State" debuted Memorial Day Weekend on 103.5 WKTU in New York.
