I am sorry, I seem to have been too harsh to you. The problem is that Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopedia, which means that one shouldn't unilaterally make major changes to articles, such as mass-changing "pedophile" to "child molester". And I am not saying that you don't have a point; you may well be right. - Mike Rosoft 08:28, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi there. I have noticed you've been changing pedophile to child molester too. I've left all but one of your edits in, but please remember that Wikipedia is a universal encyclopeadia and caters to USA and English wikipedians. The ephebophile/pedophile/pederast debate has been well aired on the relavant talk pages. Do have a read. We've agreed that we need to be as all-inclusive as possible which means that, say, the abuser of a 14-year-old boy could be pedophile or a pederast. Ephebophile is not used in the UK and has only limited usage in the USA. Hebephile is rarely used anywhere. There is also some consensus, (not 100% I'm sure) that we shouldn't use pedophile as a perjorative term, hence my leaving in your edits. We should use pedophile as describing someone who is sexually attracted to children, but not to describe a criminal act, which is child sexual abuse or child molestation.
