[edit] Background

A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lindsay got his first sniff of computers in elementary school back in 1980. He was hooked. He started taking classes in Basic at the age of 8. In high school he studied Pascal, C, and C++, taking a course and interning at the University of Michigan. He has since added numerous other languages and technologies to his repertoire and holds a BS in Computer Science.

Starting out on the Commodore PET computers at school and a Commodore VIC-20 at home, he eventually upgraded to a Commodore 64 with his paper route money. He jumped ship when the 1st Macs came out and has been using them ever since.

He also caught the UNIX bug during his days as a sysadmin and webmaster. He has been doing web work for universities since 1996, helping to develop and maintain the main websites of both the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University.
