[edit] JENS JENSEN
How could both of these entries discusss the history of Lincoln Park without mentioning the influential architect Jens Jensen, the park designer? Lincoln Park is a key moment in landscape architecture and Jensen's important career.

"In 1852, David Kennison, who claimed to have been born in 1736, died and was buried in City Cemetery. Kennison claimed to have been the last survivor of the Boston Tea Party. As recently as 1986, construction in the park has revealed more bodies left over from the nineteenth century."
Sounds like he did this after he was dead :(. Ilyanep 23:20, 13 Jun 2004 (UTC)
[edit] 1968 Riots
It is reported that "Yet another aspect of the park were the 1968 Democratic National Convention riots, to which there is no marker in the park."
The 1968 riots were in Grant Park, across the street from the Chicago Hilton & Towers Hi there, I thik that lincoln park zoo should be split off into a seperate article. If you agree, please tell me, and I can work on it. Thanks.
- According to http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/1553/c68chron.html there were riots in Lincoln Park on August 26 & 27 1968 during the convention. Splitting the zoo into its own article sounds like a good idea to me. —JeremyA 00:29, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge
No to merge: Lincoln Park is significant enough to deserve its own article, as a matter of fact a number of offshoot articles can be created here. Do not merge this article.A mcmurray 01:29, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
No to merge: Lincoln Park the park is different than Lincoln Park the community. People do not live in the park. Splent 02:24, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
