The Lingerie Football League is the basis of a proposed television series.

The concept originated from the Lingerie Bowl, a pay-per-view event which was broadcast at the same time as the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show. The event featured two teams of models playing a football game while dressed in lingerie. The two original teams were Team Dream and Team Euphoria. Team Dream won the first game with a score of 6-0.

The League is an extension of this idea. The league was expanded to four teams in 2005:

The second season consisted of a three game schedule, with Los Angeles defeating Dallas in the Western Final and New York defeating Chicago in the Eastern Final on "Garter & Lace Championship Sunday" (January 30, 2005). Los Angeles then won over New York in Lingerie Bowl II, played during the same time as the Super Bowl XXXIX halftime show.

In 2006 season Los Angeles again defeated Dallas and New York again defeated Chicago in the "playoffs". But New York overcame their previous two losses by defeating Los Angeles 13-12 at Lingerie Bowl III on February 5, 2006.

The 4th Lingerie Bowl will be on February 4, 2007.

The League had announced it would expand to eight teams in 2008 (formerly announced for 2005 season), adding:

The games have been broadcast on a pay-per-view basis. There have been reports that the Fox network might broadcast a reality show based on the league. Dennis Rodman was named as Commissioner of the league in 2005.
