The Monarchy of Serbia, later rulers of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia was abolished in 1945. The current pretender to the throne of Serbia is Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia. The Succession Law allows only males to succeed.
