Linda Stephens

Linda Stephens (born 1950) is an American attorney and jurist who was appointed in early 2006 to the North Carolina Court of Appeals by Governor Mike Easley. She then lost her seat in a close November 2006 election to state district court judge Donna Stroud. In January 2007, Easley again appointed her to the Court of Appeals, this time to fill the seat left vacant by Robin Hudson, who was elected in November 2006 to the North Carolina Supreme Court.[1]
Stephens is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina and received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
